Well, if we look at the size of the gun itself on the official model, I would think it could fit on a gunboat. Of course the one thing we don't really know is how expensive and how difficult is it to make one of them? If they are cheap and easy then sure, put 'em on anything that can carry them. If they are expensive and hard then perhaps only really powerful and survivable units like larger warships (or dare I say it, Land Ironclads) might get them.
Dare to say it Scott... check out the Revenge Class LIC, and her Swan Electric Cannon!
I'll be watching this one closely as I am yet to start on HMLS Primrose Hill, another Revenge Class landship from those marvelous fellows at Conqueror Landships Ltd. Hopefully soon...

When the time traveler visited the year 802,701 the Morlocks briefly took his machine. Whilst they had it they managed to figure out how it works. Now they've come back in time to supplement their dwindling food supply. But the Martians also need the Humans for food. Looks like we're at the bottom of the food chain...

BTW, Andy, some very nice stuff. I'm really tempted by the Artillery
I would recommend the artillery as well. It's based on a howitzer I saw at the Great Dorset Steam Fair. Took a load of pictures and Andy applied his design magic, to create these beauties.

This is the joy of the whole Martian Front thing, so much scope for your own ideas on how the story goes. There will be more in the future about Hornblower and the crew of HMLS Primrose Hill, especially as his latest assignment teams him up with Patton and the Mobile Armored Corps. And watch out for Whittenbury's Warriors coming soon...

Very busy with my business at the moment, but I am making more "me" time, so trying to complete all my units (and there are a lot of them!). I visit this forum, the official one and both Facebook groups for a read... I like to have my cake and eat it! ;-)

Xmas brought me a nice little delivery from Conqueror... HMLS Primrose Hill now has it's contingent of Wheeler Tanks, and Patton's Boys will soon take delivery of an ammo tank, fuel tank, tesla tank (although I think it might be a Swan Electric Cannon Tank), and three howitzer guns.
Pictures to come soon...

With the EU copyright on War of the Worlds expired as of now, hopefully we will get a huge boost to the game. The audio production of the original novel should be with us in several months, and the sequel to HG Wells original novel is out later this month.
IG seem very focused on making this work, and I wish them every success, and working closely with Andy at Conqueror has been brilliant (HMLS Primrose Hill will be done soon, and pictures posted).
So, all in all, my passion for War of the Worlds will see a lot of time this year. I'm not going to make a list, just say that I will be doing as much as I can.
Keep calm and Martian on!
