I ask myself this every year, and write a list every year. Typically, I have a 50% completion rate. Some highlights for this year are: 1. Actually, maybe buy more than I did in previous years. 2. Keep making and playing games of my own! 3. Maybe get some of those games someplace useful 4. Keep exploring new game systems 5. Paint a few odds and ends What about you? What is on your list? You can see the detailed list and photos on the blog... bloodandspectacles.blogspot.com/2016/12/of-resolutions-and-resources-2017-goals.html

Well, first and foremost is to get Book 3 of The Great Martian War written and published!
After that I want to get more stuff painted and play more games of All Quiet.

For AQotMF I intend to finish painting a Canadian army and an opposing force of Martians, which I've just started to paint, by the end of February. I don't have any major conversions like the BEF land ironclad planned for 2017, but later in the year will paint the BEF army and the rest of the Martians.
I have a lot of trenches to paint - about half AQ and the rest by Ironclad Miniatures - plus many field fortifications by IM (command bunkers, MG and mortar pits, field artillery positions).

I got sidelined by a series of issues this past year, and so my projects for 2017 are stacked up! In addition, we are moving to Missouri during January and likely buying a house by summer. So...life will still be pretty busy, but hopefully I'll get to a few of these. This is likely way too much for the year...
1. Build and paint my new Dominator tripod, Tesla gun, and Munitions Tender.
2. Get to know some Table-Top gamers in my new locale.
3. Run at least one or two large AQMF games in the local area.
4. Find and take part in a multi-day convention somewhere in the midwest...now that Historicon will be a bit too far to travel.
5. Finally paint my 180+ 28mm medieval Arab army. I run a great Battle of Arsuf game, but have used Orcs as a stand in for Saladin's forces while my Arabs have languished in their unprimed metal state. Time to rectify that.
6. Paint several hundred 1/72 civil war plastic figs. Egads. Then paint up my 28mm Big Civil War Battle Box from the Perry Brothers in additon to 2 additional boxes each of Infantry, Cavalry, and Artillery. I'll like to run a game using the Black Powder "Glory Hallelujah" supplement before the year is out with whichever set of figs I get finished first. I also want to test run a series of games using Across a Deadly Field, Regimental Fire and Fury, Longstreet, American Uncivil war, Brother Against Brother and Neal Thomas' "Wargaming" for civil war.
7. In the Fall, I'd like to attempt to buildi my own gaming table. This project seems the most daunting. I've been occasionally working on the design and hope to actually build three 4x6 tables that can combine to equal a 12x6 gaming surface. Additional design hopes: something that stands 40" inches tall (pub table height) and yet breaks down for easier storage.
Time will tell! Right now, I've got to box up all my gaming stuff for the move...
ALSO...I've got to find a way to get my hands on the new Dalek Army sets about to be released by Warlord Games. They MUST find a US distributor!!!

I have so much stuff in the works for 2017!
Get the bases done on my AQMF stuff. I spent the last 3 months building and painting, just need to add detail to the bases yet. And play a few more games. I have tried to build enough for games with 4-6 players, and will be hosting some games at the Local Shop I play at, as well as a few Cons this year.
I need to build a few more things for Dead Man's Hand that I have not gotten around to yet. A few more buildings, scatter terrain and a paint a few more factions.
I backed Blood and Plunder on KS, and they should be here in the next few weeks, So there will be Pirates to be done for 2017.
Finish painting my rather large Viking army, at least get enough painted to play Lion Rampant with.
Build and paint a 2nd army for Bolt Action. It will probably be Chindits.
Build enough Steam Punk stuff to get a few games of In Her Majesty's Name in. (Also doing some zombie stuff to use with IHMN.
Burt, You said your new location, and Midwest, are you close to St. Louis? I am just over the river on the Illinois side.

I'm not making a list for this year - too far behind on all the 2015 & 2016 projects to do more. However, here's wishing everyone a Happy New Year. May you and yours have good health, wealth, and spirits all the year and beyond. A special shout out to our supplies, particularly IG, Conqueror, Black Hat, and S2G. You are doing for us a great service, may profits grow. Ty especially to IG for bringing our game to life again.

With the EU copyright on War of the Worlds expired as of now, hopefully we will get a huge boost to the game. The audio production of the original novel should be with us in several months, and the sequel to HG Wells original novel is out later this month.
IG seem very focused on making this work, and I wish them every success, and working closely with Andy at Conqueror has been brilliant (HMLS Primrose Hill will be done soon, and pictures posted).
So, all in all, my passion for War of the Worlds will see a lot of time this year. I'm not going to make a list, just say that I will be doing as much as I can.
Keep calm and Martian on!

2016 was a great year for me getting minis and terrain done and on the table. So for 2017 I aim to get more minis painted than last year.
For AQMF I intend to finish my US army and play a game with them. I'd also like to start my Martians, even just a completed test tripod to work out a colour scheme. I'd also like to get a AQMF themed board done, trenches and wrecked town etc.
So really it's just paint more minis, play more games, make more terrain and buy less new minis.
I'm looking forward to it!
