Some of the items I was looking forward to getting was the human fortification options such as the command and gun towers. Also I was intrigued by he Edison Wires. I guess these are high voltage (or high amp?) direct current lines meant to electrocute a tripod on contact. In the rule book they appear much taller than usual telephone/ telegraph poles.
1) Any ideas on proxy models?
2) Any ideas on rules?
A Tripod attempting to cross during movement phase will suffer a automatic hit with +4 attack. If attack is successful then apply damage per tripod damage table. The wires remain intact. Back up the tripod ( if it survives) an inch away along its approach path.
If the tripod suffers no damage then the wires are snapped and that section is removed.
The wire can be destroyed by direct fire by targeting or assaulting a pole (defense 2 and armor 8) For damage I was thinking a new damage table may be needed. My thought is the main effect is the current overloads circuits in the tripod causing shorts, tripping breakers and damaging electrical equipment. So the most common damage effect would be the tripod is shut down for a turn or more while the systems reboot or are repaired. Counts as immobilized for shooting at by humans. Could also consider the possibility of damage to specific systems such as weapons, either permanent or temporary. I think explosion of the tripod is unlikely.

We have played that the Martian does NOT have turret ability. A tripod can only draw LOS to fire weapons from the front midpoint of the stand in a 180 degree arc. This means the humans can get behind an immobilized tripod and not be shot at by that Martian.

They are separate from the hull and are the same casting as the rest of the wheels. I.E., you get 5 wheels and use one for the spare.

If someone has a Kitchener tank could you post the dimensions of the gun? Specifically the diameter and length of the individual triple barrels, and the overall length of the entire barrel. I think I may convert a Mark IV to a Wolesley by removing the external connecting rods (assuming the Brits took the hull design and put a diesel-electric drive in it, using a steam turbine), making a new pair of sponsons with the triple barrel guns and placing them further forward, plus replacing the turret with a hemispherical one with the coil gun. All the 4" guns will go with the forward pair being replaced by HMGs. Sound like a reasonable conversion or should the Wolesley look more like a much larger Imperial tank? Must say I don't like any of the BEF vehicles that use the Imperial tank's toy-like chassis. The barrels are 7/8 inch (22 mm) long and each barrel is 1/8 inch (3 mm) outside diameter. The three barrels are mounted on a larger cylinder that mounts in the gun mount. This cylinder is 11/32inch in diameter (8 mm) which is just large enough to accommodate the three barrels. This cylinder is 7/32 inch (5.5 mm) and then steps up about a 32 inch in diameter to the part that attaches to the turret. The visible part of this "mounting" cylinder is about 3/8 inch (10 mm). A picture will help. I'll try to get one posted in the next day or so.

The targeter eliminates the effect of "inaccurate" on the grenadier's shots. Shock drones also have the inaccurate special rule. It could be argued the targeter could be used with shock drones as well as grenadiers. Since the targeter only costs 5 points I am not sure it is wise to expand its abilities much more.

I agree, it will probably be re-released by someone, but that could take a while. And the more happy noises the fans make on places like this forum, the more likely that is to happen.

Thanks for setting this up. I am glad we are not going to just let the game die.
