Hi,
if the Scout Pods Targeter only works with the Grenadiers, is there any other reason to use them?!
What do u think? How u use them?

The targeter eliminates the effect of "inaccurate" on the grenadier's shots. Shock drones also have the inaccurate special rule. It could be argued the targeter could be used with shock drones as well as grenadiers. Since the targeter only costs 5 points I am not sure it is wise to expand its abilities much more.

the 5 points of the targeter doesent matter... but 150points für the scoutpod does.
One Scout ok... but the second one can better be a reaper or something else

I don't plan to use more than 1 Scout tripod; I don't have any Grenadiers but may convert one from another model; I don't like the looks of the AD version.

Main rule book. According to the rules you'll be able to use the targeter with the dominator also.
DroneSupplement2-15. PDF shock drones: "benefit greatly when their targets are illuminated by targeters such as those found on scout tripods and sneak drones."
For me the tactic is: taking scouts? Then mount targeters.

u are right ... but every Scout is a cost of 155pts. So if u take two of them, there is a huge number of points for just 1-3 other Units supporting
I think one of it will work with 1000pts, two of it with games up to 1500Pts and three with games more than 2000pts. And all of it with 2 or more Units of Grenadier, Dominator or shock drones

I like AQMF as it's a B&P game, rather than a fantasy version of WWI FOW. But whatever floats your boat.

I've found that the humans often target Scouts as they are easier to kill .If they explode spectacularly they can take out near by Assault pods as a bonus. Killing a scout makes it easier to get to the 50% break point. Therefore it's never a good idea to have too many.
