Yep...now I see my issues much more clearly. The turret ring is way too small and the turret and body are way too narrow.
I believe these were opinions of others mentioned above. Seeing the clean sculpt really showcases that for me.
I just liked the proportions of the concept art much better.
Again, not trying to be negative, just voicing an opinion before this thing is set in stone.

Is it just me or does the three up look more properly to scale??

No, you're correct.
In the concept art, a man doesn't quite come to half as tall as the wheel...which pretty much matches the original 3-D print next to the infantry.

Definitely the unprimed version has got my vote sizewise. It isn't the concept art as you guys have pointed out, but I still really like it, it kinda reminds of those giant quarry trucks and a tonka toy rolled into one.

Oh I definitely think the 3-D sculpt is "close", I'd just like some of it's proportions to be massaged a teensy bit more before finalized. The sculpt isn't in left field...just not quite there yet.
In my opinion. (Which is always the key part of any subjective discussion.)

Ya know at this point, I don't care as much about the tires - the figure looks great & I'm sure we're all drooling to latch onto one. Good luck at Gencon in a couple of weeks and may the 'sales' be with you!

I think I figured out what the skinny issue is. If it were to fire that gun from the broadside of the vehicle it would at least lift if off the wheels on that side, if not more. That's why it feels to narrow.

yes, ships also have an adjustment as they also 'roll' after a broadside of 12" guns! That is a lot of tonnage on non-solid surface. I'd think the thing needs one heck of a fire direction control to readjust after firing or at least some sort of gyro to keep it on target after the first shot. At second look, it does have a sectional recoiling gun and that large space in the back to work as a recoil buffer - guess you have to have faith that those items make it okay if firing to a side.

You never know. During WWII the Soviets built a massive 'land battleship' by splicing the hulls of three KV1 tanks together (end to end, not side to side). It had some ridiculously huge armament. One of the first prototypes made the mistake of firing a 'broadside' with all its guns. The recoil tipped it over on its side and it promptly blew up!

Ha, even giving it some drop down prop legs like a backend loader would work.
