Initial painting.
I did lower the armored bridge as suggested by loyalist.
Added the third 5 inch gun on the aft deck. They all look askance with the magnets. I'll need to level them. Maybe don't need the magnets.
Still have some details to do.

WoW that is Outstanding! A suggestion might be to use wooden dowels (from Walmart, hobby stores, etc.) cut and painted for you guns, thus freeing up those to go back on the LIC. I'm sure someone of your skill could get those exactly like the ones pictured above. Might I also suggest some smoke generators on the front deck and maybe midship as well. I've never really explained how my ships 'lay smoke' for themselves; that was usually done IRL by Destroyers & Destroyer Escorts to cover larger capital ships, not themselves. Congrats, a great conversion!

Getting further along. Lowered the armored bridge. Flag/pennants, smaller details and small cannon (20mm ?) added to the superstructure. Need to base at least to cover the poorly cut waterline. Also thinking about adding crewman using HQ figures from an extra USMC box and command blister.

First question - are there two (one on both sides) or only one of the 'new cannon'?? As its a 'modern' designed ship, we'll give it the newest, shiny cannon and rate them as 57mm/6pdr for size. Thus add to your ship stats: (2) 57mm Cannons Rng 20" +2Pow RF1 Spec: one portside and one starboard side arc only. If you feel this is too 'upgunned' or the figure is smaller than a 6pdr use it as a 40mm/2pdr. Stats would be: (2) 40mm Cannons Rng 15" +2Pow RF2 Spec: rapid fire; one portside and one starboard side arc only.
Hows that suit you? Really looks great btw, the waterline fini will make it look top notch - do make it look as speedy as it is! Cheers!

0ne cannon on each side. Perhaps 25mm or 30 mm for anti-infantry work. I was thinking thinking range 25, ROF 2, Power +1 against machines, +2 against infantry targets. A bit more better in some respects than an Hmg but not as powerful as a 4 inch cannon.

Hmmm well I also had a 37mm on French tanks and as an Inf. Gun. Rng 20"/30" +2Pow RF1 Spec; tank/infantry. I suppose the 20mm would be: 20mm Cannon Rng 25" +2/+1Pow RF2 Spec: Infantry/non-Inf. targets; one on portside arc and one on starboard side arc only. Hows that sound??

Base getting there. May take a while for the water effects to dry clear. Realistic Water for the base and then Water Effects for the bow wave and such to cover the gaps at the waterline. After it dries then some white paint to give the waves a foamy look.

The water effects turned out really well.
Your conversion has inspired me to get started on my Royal Navy monitor. Photocopied the side and top views of three small WWI monitor classes today and will get them enlarged to HO scale this week. I may blend the designs to get something that is clearly RN but unique to the 'Martian War'.
My Land Ironclad arrived Friday; I may incorporate some of it's turrets, the bridge/spotting top and funnel like you did but will use resin copies. The bridge/spotting top will be shortened to about 25mm (1"). Following RN practice it will be on a tripod, with the funnel immediately behind it.

Yes most excellent - can't wait to see you feature it in a battle. You think you might be using the stats I came up with?? Looking for it all.

The Dominator in the Foss Landing photos looks like a converted Assault tripod. There's an extra body piece to make it taller and it looks like the standard head was modified with the addition of the missile pod and a few small parts.

I will be converting an unused veteran tripod kit that I have to represent the 12 armor rating. But I think the missile pod is such an "un-Martian" piece of kit. I am making a four barrel light rail gun weapons pod that will have the same stats as the rocket pod (ROF4, range 25", +1 power). I am still trying to come up with an extended mid-section for the tripod which I guess represents an auxiliary power unit.
