That’s actually pretty cool, I hadn’t thought to go to a different scale of humans.
Might be the way to go! 👍

There is a trend in the war gaming hobby towards warband sized gaming. Not sure how 10-20 humans can fight even a scout tripod. Still with luck and a ambush set up it could be played. Good idea to use lobotons as zombies. Scorpions would also make a good opponent. Time is the main reason for me looking at Warband skirmish sized games. I just don’t have the time to paint heaps of figures & don’t have the spare cash to be buying hundreds more figures. I think the idea of an almost indestructible Martian Walker needs to be removed if you are going to play it as a skirmish level. Having just read the books by Scott (and really enjoying them), I do like the toughness of the tripods for a game the size of AQMF, but to move it to skirmish (10 - 20 infantry + a couple of specialists or vehicles) I thin that they need to be tough but defeatable. I’d always thought 1 tripod with units of drones/lobotons OR up to 3 tripods.

Alpha Strike? Interestings. The Tripods could be Mecha, while the humans would just be tanks and troopers..... potential as well. It was really just an idea to use the figures and learn Alpha strike a bit more, I’ve always been open to using figures for different games like this if it’s fun.

Has anyone thought about using a game like Last Days, to build a "survival Horror" theme to a War of the Worlds style game? The zombies would be replaced by various Lobotons. I actually like that idea. I’ve been trying not to look too much at different systems for my AQMF stuff as I’m waiting on V2, I had thought of both Gruntz and Battletech Alpha Strike. I guess I want an official AQMF rules with the right feel... don’t ask me what that feel is though! 😂

G’day all from Sunny Oz, This month sees a small release of a long-time coming Walker for the Dark World War range of 18mm figures. This is the American Expeditionary Forces newest technological marvel, the Brightstone Inc. G’day from the Slave Dungeon, After a huge January release, we are following it up with a range of Generic 15mm Sci-Fi Infantry that can be used for any 15mm Sci-Fi army. The figures have once again be beautifully sculpted by Mike Broadbent. This is a relatively small release with only 2 packs to show, these being the Rogue Mercenary Infantry and the Republic Troopers. Both packs have the same make up of figures shown below: - 2 Command figures - 1 Heavy Machine Gun - 1 Rocket Launcher - 10 Various posed Infantry
We have painted these guys to look like the Maschinen Krieger figures that we released last month, and we use them for playing Ma.K when we get the chance, but these are not Official Licensed Ma.K products. The packs are all metal figures and retail for AU$13.50 per pack. Check out these, and our other products at www.slave2gaming.com

The Ma.K license won’t allow us to use a distributor yet. Sorry
As for the Teddies, they are available through Company B, most of the other stuff has no real plan to move to a distributor as they didn’t show a lot of interest

G’day from the Slave Dungeon, Welcome to another year, one that we are starting with a big release. From the brainchild of Sensei Kow Yokoyama, Slave 2 Gaming is proud to announce the release of Maschinen Krieger in 15mm. This release is still fairly small with only 5 Units per Army, these being a testing of the waters for the Ma.K universe & a set point to planning for the future. Before we go any further, there are a few people to thank for helping this to happen, however, I will keep it short. Kow Yokoyama (Creator of Maschinen Krieger), Scott Hards (Hobbylink Japan), Mike Broadbent (Sculpting, moulding & casting), Jayden Barr (Grand Scale Games), Kye Moran (Killing Prints). The first cab off the ranks is the Independent Mercenary Army (IMA). We see 3 types of Armoured Fighting suits: AFS Mk 1, AFS Mk 2, Super Armoured Fighting Suit (SAFS). We also see 2 different Walkers: the Jerry and the Goblin, the Goblin pack comes with both the Rotary Machine Gun and the Rocket Launcher attachments. The Strahl Democratic Republic (SDR) also has 3 packs of Suits; the Konrad, Gustav & Heinrich. The SDR 2 packs of Walker, these being the Krote & Pak Krote. All the Suit packs have 6 various posed figures, while each Walker pack contains a single figure. All packs are A$13.50 and are cast in metal. We do have LIMITED STOCK with this release, but we can restock within a week, so we won’t have a stock level on the website. Now, there have also been some questions about rules for the figures. At this time, we have put up links on the Slave 2 Gaming website to the 1980’s board game rules and our own house rule adaptation of these rules. We have also spoken to Robin Fitton to have cards made to use these figures to play Gruntz. Our own plans to make an official Maschinen Krieger in 15mm will be based around how well the range does. That’s a about all for now, you can check out these new releases plus all our other products at www.slave2gaming.com

G’day all,
As we near the end of 2020 I though I’d put up a question for those that might be interested.
This year I’ve smashed out heaps of painting of miniatures (maybe not enough to keep up with the incoming numbers...), and what I was wondering was whether we should have a painting challenge on the forum, for those that were interested?
I had two thoughts about this: (1) Only AQMF or similar vein minis (2) whatever you paint during the year.
It wouldn’t be a competition, more just a show what your doing over the year and enjoy the friendships on the forum. Maybe we could have a separate section or something for those that want to be in this...
Anyone have any thought or ideas on this?

... could you point me towards the description of the base game. but I did have a nice browse thru your site Here's the basic background that I put up in an earlier post, the rules will have more info on the background but its getting proofread atm, so I thought I'd go with this:
In a time of strife, sin and debauchery, the Pilgrims left their Old World safety in their wooden ships to what was to become their new life, their New World.
Set in the Village of Armbraid, the Pilgrims are discovering that their new home is not as safe as they thought it would be.
Creatures from the Great Woods raid their small village, wreaking havoc when they come.
Nearby are the Natives are friendly, but wary. Some say that they know the land and what it can do.
The land appears to be strange and changes both people and objects, some say that even the Scarecrows move around at night...
