Yes, and I imagine from a cows perspective (if intelligent) we'd be pretty disgusting too. Nothing like a 'horror' scene to make the point that we're fighting for human existance. As an aside, what is you take on what would they have to eat once out of humans and other red blooded foods?? Is there a prey breeding experiment somewhere not yet revealed?? The Martians are too logical not to thought out that long-term problem.

Gotta remind people that the Martians aren't nice! Just misunderstood. "Everyone understands the white flag. We are friends, we are friends."

Everyone recognizes the sound of a pump shotgun round being chambered. "I'm not your lunch squid!"

I don't want to know how the Martians will survive. I want to know how to make them extinct. Dodo Passenger Pigeon Martian.

Scott, I am only on Page 24, and if anyone read both your book and my battle reports Martian Civil War and The Fall of Fort Edmonton, they would have thought we clouded on the topics. Your concept of Martian Clans and My concept of Hive establishment are very similar, and we both looked up and put General Miles in the book/battle reports.

I hope you are enjoying it! You will find a great many historical characters in the book and I did a lot of research on them. Of course I was already familiar with Nelson Miles because in the Civil War he commanded the regiment my reenactment unit portrays

My book, "The Great Martian War: Invasion!" got a nice review! Small Press Bookwatch: May 2016 James A. Cox, Editor-in-Chief Midwest Book Review 278 Orchard Drive, Oregon, WI 53575 The Fantasy/SciFi Shelf The Great Martian War: Invasion Scott H. Washburn Zmok Books c/o Winged Hussar Publishing LLC wingedhussarpublishing.com9780990364993 $14.99 pbk / $7.99 Kindle www.amazon.com Synopsis: The era is the early 1900's. The crisis is an invasion of blood-sucking Martians and their monstrous machines. Following the defeat of the Martian invasion of Britain, a new threat to humanity lands in the American west. President Roosevelt musters the captains of industry and leading scientists to find a way to turn back the Martian tide. Critique: The first of a three-book series, The Great Martian War: Invasion is at once both riveting and horrifying. The astute prose will keep the reader on the edge of their seat. Fans of H.G. Wells' classic "The War of the Worlds" will especially thrill to this daring saga of desperate violence and overwhelming odds.

Always wonderful to get 'professional' praise amoung the lauding of the masses. You rock it & I see my library is growing soon from Amazon - going have to start a Scott Washington shelf in my den amoung the thousands of books there (wall to wall Ikea bookshelves).
