Hi - finally back - I stayed with figures from the AQ line as much as possible, as this allows you to fight outside as well as inside the cylinder. I'll get more to you all on this. After that, I hope to work up some TO&E & OOB for the 28mm figures available from lots of vendors. That one will be strictly underground due to the vehicles size and table size. In any case, keep checking on this tab as I work out the final kinks.

I have gone back to working on this concept with a vengeance after a dream I had inspired me to get moving on this again. The concept is band of human survivors battling each other for resources in martian territory, as they also avoid the Martians.
I set my game in 1938 during Orson Welles Martian Invasion, so not the late Victoriana of AQMF, more Interwar/Early WWII. However, there is no reason you could not change it with minimal tweaks.
There are a few hooks to the game:
1. The game uses an "Activation Risk" mechanic. A model can activate and do one thing for free. However, if you want to try to do more than one action you must make a test. If passed, the model can take another action, if failed play turns over to the other player.
So, a model might run around a corner and see an enemy. If they want to act again, they must pass a test. Passing means you can shoot, move away, or do something else. Failure means the other player can start activating models.
2. An escalating threat level so the more you do, the more likely you are to attract the attention of a Martian unit. Running, shooting, and other actions raise the threat level. The higher the threat level the harder it is to activate for additional actions, avoid pinning, pass morale tests, and it could even attract Martians to the board to act as third party monsters.
3. Campaign elements like those found in other Post-apoc survival games with resource management being a large post-game element.
4. Suppression fire, pinning and morale play a larger role in determining combat results more than killing your foes.
It is still a d10 system, but uses the Combat! Starring Vic Murrow mechanics more than AQMF mechanics. I imagine the scale is 28mm survivor and Martian minion models, but you could still use Martian Tripod/drone models in this game. The scale is not the same as AQMF. Not quite ready for prime time yet, but I might have a draft up by the End of the Year.
Would you have any interesting in playing this sort of game?

I have the core rules done, and I have them here for your review. Tweaks and ideas on them would be welcome. app.box.com/s/vb2prbly76j2ey8jajkpqiifusyhff6kHere are some elements of the game that I think make it somewhat interesting to play.... 1. Activation Risk 2. Randomized Survivor Bands and Equipment 3. Escalation of Threat 4. Suppression Fire The emphasis is on survival horror with Martian's and their minions an ever present danger. As a horror game, things do not get easier for your Survivor bands..... only harder..... This takes place as if Orson Welles War of the Worlds actually happened, and the humans lost! I have been working on campaign rules to make it a complete game. I plan on using AQMF models for Martians, Copplestone Casting 28mm gangsters for the survivors, The Chicago Way terrain, and yet to be determined ranges for some of the other threats.
