Hi Just wanted to say hello to people here and let you know that I am around to answer questions about the Martian Empires rules or the figure range. Things have been a little quiet with new releases for Martian Empires but I am planning to catch up with a bunch of new stuff next year which will be 10 years since the printed rules were released. For people who haven't seen Martian Empires games in progress then this blog: martianwarlords.blogspot.co.uk/is a good place to start Thanks Mike Lewis Martian Empires author

Excellent gaming tables and photos. I must find a use for the steam tripods in my AQotMF human forces.

I am always in awe of Mikes ( yes another one) games. They are the kind of scale that I would like to do and always look fun.

Been talking up the line for a while. Note that I've even done some TO&Es (see sub board) and an OOB using those figures as well as some "Imperial" Martians as Liverpool Mutants for AQ. Also, created a 'Gatherer' out of some of your Martian walkers. Welcome on board

Hi Mike can you give us an idea about what new releases we may see in 2017?

Still planning things but I have sent the initial details to the sculptor to produce:
British Home Service Cavalry French Infantry advancing French Infantry Command French Dragoons on Camels
I also am waiting to see further work on a balloon and walker for the french that Jez @ Old Crow Models is designing for me.
This is the start of the french range for Martian Empires.
I am not sure about exact release dates as I am going to be away for 3 weeks in February in New Zealand, so things may get delayed until March when I am back...
I am also looking at producing some terrain to go with the range as well...

I could always use more cavalry for my western Canadian force. I was tempted to buy the Martian expedition cavalry but thought the gas mask design was too different from my S2G cavalry's. Home Service cavalry without gas masks could be an RCMP cavalry unit - in real life they had the same helmets until 1908.

Sounds good Mike. Can I ask who the sculptor is? Any more thoughts on a larger airship?

Sounds good Mike. Can I ask who the sculptor is? Any more thoughts on a larger airship? They are being sculpted by Martin Baker who did the Prussians and the Lizardmen. I was due to get a Laser Cutter this December (Kickstarter style preorder) but that has been delayed 6 months (again!)... When it comes I plan on working on some airships.

Shame you couldnt get the original sculptor back. No offense to Martin his figures are OK but they don't have the elegance and style of the original range. What do you have in mind in the way of flyers? I guess it will be smaller craft rather than aerial battleships. How about a Flash Gordon style rocketship? Wouldn't be a huge model in 1/100 and nicely doable in resin.

Lots of fun stuff there - like the expansion into the French army I look forward to making new TO&Es and OOBs for these 'specialists'. Hmmm maybe will become Foreign Legion Pioneers or such
