I have been off work for a while due to illness and waiting for surgery. With the extra time on my hands and an inability to go outside to do much, I've been reliant upon my hobbies, to keep sane and it has been an opportunity to spend time teaching my eldest how to play games and make models.
I placed an order for a couple of pieces from Ironclad Games on the 27th of August. I've placed three orders so far, and two have arrived very quickly. My first and third orders, in fact. Order no. 2 is presumably keeping Schrödinger's cat company somewhere.
I am just writing to thank Joe and Ironclad Games for their customer service. Joe has advised me that my second order is marked "in transit", and instead of telling me to wait (which would have been quite reasonable and in keeping with standard practice in many other game companies), they have gone the extra step of sending a replacement package, because this has taken longer than normal for a package to be delivered.
It is refreshing to see a company provide this kind of service and go to these lengths to work with their customers. I can only say positive things about dealing with the new owners of All Quiet on the Martian Front.

As you all know, I'm all over this board. IG is probably the most customer service oriented company I've seen in years. Lets support them to the hilt, that they will succeed and prosper.

Look what arrived in my mailbox today, just 11 days after I ordered it. Considering it had to cross the border into Canada and go through Customs inspection, I find this to be very quick. I've already put together a Martian tripod and some tanks. I expect to have my first game with a buddy of mine this weekend!

Have a look at some of my OOBs - a few were specially designed to use only the pieces from a starter box. And a couple more were a starter box and one additional box of figures. Have Fun!!

Ironclad Games have done it again. Great service! Joe's replacement package arrived a few minutes ago. Despite copious amounts of bubble wrap, the ham-fisted efforts of Australia post have prevailed and managed to damage to tower of the Mark IV Command Tank. I can fix it with glue and putty and resculpt it, so no one will be any the wiser. Joe and Ironclad have been nothing but exceptional in dealing with this. To anyone out there waiting on an overdue package, if there is a problem, I am certain it lies with the postal service and not these guys Craig

I think the support is a measure of the underlying interest in the theme of AQMF and the Victorian Sci-Fi genre. Almost everyone that I have talked to about AQMF has been interested in it, irrespective of pre-existing interests. Even the clerk at the store where I bought my boxed set read the box and said "I didn't know about this. I gotta get myself a copy." Too bad for him: I had just bought the only copy they had.
It appears the AD/RPS/AoW failed to put effort (= $$$) into publicizing and promoting the product, relying too much of word-of-mouth and fortuitous discovery. It is sad when the sales clerk at a full line game store doesn't even know that the product exists.

Indeed! Well he does now and it always helps to have a full line store stock product. I do hope IG gets some of those postcards out to retailers and distributors nationwide - I can't help but feel that IG is in a good position to revive the game to heights imagined before.
