Two new items of note from the vendor Michigan Toy Soldier company: Battle of Somme Centenary Gift Set (AFX-50178). At $38.24 you get a 25" x 13" trench section (650mm x 335mm) with 43 British and 45 German troops (all stuff is 1/72) as well as a British MkI tank ("dragonfly"?), a Fokker E.II monowing plane and a British BE2c biplane. A great value for an instant trench section and of coarse you don't have to use anything but the trench. Check out the pics at their site.
From Amaco we have the amazing Sculptamold - 3 lbs @$7.99 of very light paper mache like material that can be formed any way you like and sets in about 30 minutes. I like the look of this stuff, particularly for smoothing out edges of your homemade trench systems. I need to experiment with it some to see if there is any shrinkage with drying. But, the parent company makes paper mache in 3 lb bags as well for the same price. I might have to try both to see whats what.

Sculptamold is a great product as I said in the "Terrain" topic.
It does shrink a bit on drying, but not much. Also, the 30 min set time varies with the thickness of the piece. Thicker areas may "set" externally in 30 min, but it can take considerably longer for the inner areas to dry completely.
