So I have been wondering how to expand my colonial troops so started looking at Old Glory Blue Moon range and this is what I found
The AD Egyptian Infantry they sold and actually Blue moon Sudan campaign troops a mix from these packs 15SCB-009: Egyptian Infantry Firing line 15SCB-010: Egyptian Infantry, advancing 15SCB-011: Egyptian Infantry Command
The AD Egyptian Field Guns use the standard field gun but the crew are from this pack 15SCB-012: Egyptian Artillery crew
The AD Indian infantry are Blue Moon Northwest Frontier troops with a mix from these packs 15NWB-01: Indian Infantry Command 15NWB-02: Indian Infantry Skirmishing 15NWB-03: Indian Infantry Advancing
The Bedouin Vickers are these 15FFT-207: Arabs with Machine Guns The Bedouin Cavalry are these 15FFT-205: Mounted Arabs with Rifles The Bedouin Camelry are these 15FFT-206: Camel Mounted Arabs
So if you want some troops they were using it will be easy to get them.
The Bengal Lancers shown in the British pdf seem to be these 15NWB-07: Bengal Lancers

I came to the same realization after reviewing the Blue Moon range. BM is a relatively cheap source and their field guns look more 'in period' to me than the AD version with rubber tires and a more modern looking gun shield.

I have some spare BEF field guns not built so I will use this guns with Egyptian/Indian crews and use the BEF crews for the Mobile Artillery I am trying to knock together for the BEF

IT would be nice if the new owners decide to sell packs of BEF artillery crew figures to use with non-AD guns, the heavy field guns and the mobile artillery. I'd re-crew 1 heavy field gun battery and add some WWI Blue Moon guns (18 pdrs).

Yes, but it isn't much of a money maker doing so.

I've long advocated using Blue Moon colonials in numerous army setups for AQ. See my OOBs for "The Natives Are Restless" as well as "Defense of Oran" & "Defense of Tunis". For better 'color' I use the 15SCG-08 12pdr. breachloader with a 15NWB-09 crew as well as the 15SCG-01 as hmgs with again the 15NWB-09 as crews. In fact you could use a lot of 15SCG- colonial guns for various theatres and most of the colonial figures; for example the naval infantry figures for British marines, etc.

See my various TO&Es for French Foreign Legion and various Egyptian and India troops - all filled out with figure numbers to help. Add a couple of GHQ WW1 ships and you're all set for various battles in the colonies.

Well after may nights at work daydreaming, I have broke down and took tenative steps ordering Egyptian and Indian troops for my BEF. I had to since I am recieving more AQ BEF troops from Quendil. After that maybe some Aznacs. Those Arabs and Indians from the Colonials line were just too good to not buy.

Do check Eureka Miniatures for your Aznacs troops. Their lines were 18mm. At present I'm not sure if their converting to 15mm or not, won't know till I talk with them at Historicon next month. But I got several different WW2 lines of theirs for various units (see various TO&Es) including some Aussies. If you do a 15mm human army (all figures 15s), then both Peter Pig and Flames of War have plenty for you to play with in their WW2 lines and additionally lots of stuff in their WW1 line (even some with gasmasks on). Not as good as S2G, but an alternative scale.

I think I am going to order some Blue Moon Zulus in Full Regalia. I was watching old episodes of Jonny Quest and was inspired by the Zulus on the show.

Has anyone found a source for suitable replacements for the field gun wheels? I recently placed an order for some Khurasan minis and asked if they sold separate wheels for their 13 pounders which look ideal. Unfortunately they don't.
