Sorry mate BTW, would love to add a Cthulhu theme to the Dark World war range, don't know if it will fit into the AQMF line as well though!

Sorry mate BTW, would love to add a Cthulhu theme to the Dark World war range, don't know if it will fit into the AQMF line as well though! There is a blurb in the rule book about an expedition to go to the Arctic and Antarctica to check for Martians. They find starts of bases and a lot of boreholes, but no sign of actual Martians remaining. I think that's about as clear as indication that shuggoths and other things from the Mountains of Madness are present in the world. Those were based on aliens, so I think it's a pretty good fit. Harder to fit in the other Lovecraft works, such as C'thulhu, but I think Mountains of Madness is a perfect fit.

I've got both Cthulhu & Nyralethotep figures by rafm, thought they'd be a great idea.
If you look at the background of the DWW figures on the site I did hint at this, although the setting download hasn't got that far.
Maybe an alternate AQMF setting for the future!

The link isn't working. It keeps directing me back to this page. If I do a web search there's no problem.

Thanks Bob, I'm not too sure why it wasn't working, but I put it back into the post and it appears to be working for me at the moment, well until the Internet gods decide to have some fun at my expense again!

I don't know why I sometimes end up inside the quote box instead below it - anywho, I was going to note that my Yeti Battalion (a mix of 20mm Eureka and 1/72 plastics) OOBs and TO&E is all about the tracking of Martians in the northern reaches of Canadian wilds. I've even got some Mounties involved. My favorite unit is the small contingent of Finish ski troops that were caught by the invasion whilst on a training mission in Canada. They'd been sent to instruct the Canadians on winter ski fighting. They usually use ambush and withdrawl tactics to lure Martian machines in to traps by the Canadian forces. Fun stuff.
