Hi Joe This all sounds very promising and I wish you the best of luck as this game needs to continue . You will find lots of information and people of the forum who can help with rules issues that need addressing.
I am sure you are aware that there may be some bad feeling from some Kickstarter backers , hopefully not on this forum. I was a Kickstarter back and I just want the game to survive.
Hopefully this will mean missing things released and old items available again. A combined and updated rulebook is a must as long as it is thoroughly proof read and play tested unlike the first one .
One thing to mention can you make sure the game is marketed this time as the previous marketing was non existent which I think helped the company fail.
Anyway you can see the interest is there by looking on this forum.
Thanks

This is good news. One suggestion. Please publish assembly instructions for the miniatures!

Hi Joe, Are you aware there is another company called Ironclad Games? They do computer games and are based in British Columbia. Don't know anything else about them. Just that they show up on a Google search.

I was aware of Ironclad Games in BC, they make Sins of the Solar Empire (I think). They are not affiliated with us and our business is registered in Missouri, so we are fine with the name. We have some initial marketing and sales plans going into place, so hopefully we'll see some new adopters to the game.

Hi Joe,
This is wonderful news. The game will live on. I live in Indianapolis and will be at gencon on Saturday and maybe Friday. Because of all the uncertainty, I am not doing a and game this year. I am doing a 15mm fantasy game on Saturday to help another fellow out. I will bring my stuff and once the other game is over, if you're interested, I can run you through a demo game of Martian Front.

+1 to all the sentiments so far.
Please feel free to ignore anything Underdweller / Venusian related and concentrate on the core game ;0)
I've never been so taken by a game as AQ and this forum has been brilliant in keeping the hope alive. 'Official' support in terms of a re-release would be epic.
Best of luck to you.

Joe, this is great news. I realize it is early days but are you planning to re-release the entire existing line including resin items?

Joe, Will you by chance be at Diecon in Collinsville in Mid-June? If so I would like to hook up with you there.

Joe, you may want to check out the numerous AQMF groups on Facebook; several are quite active and the only way to get in contact with the majority of players, in my opinion. As for any legal concerns, I am an attorney and would be happy to help you on the cheap with any potential issues, purely in an advisory role, as I am not barred in Missouri (Texas and Washington are my jurisdictions). I am, as many others are, very excited at the potential for the game to return and to see some of the expanded world armies created. There are complaints with the rules, it is true. Random starting turn, rough riders, and 6" slave range come to mind, but there are people with much more experience in the game that can speak to that. There are a number of us that would be willing to help with beta testing, rules or fluff writing, etc. Please try to include the community as much as possible; Robot Peanut's lack of communication stung the majority of players very badly. Here is a link to possibly the most active group. www.facebook.com/groups/548754221899607/?ref=nf_target&fref=nfThanks again, Tim Roller

Oh most excellent! Welcome to a very dedicated forum. As you can see as you look over it, we've been very active in both the modeling and rules for AQ. I was going to contribute today on this thread that I'd recieved the bankruptcy discharge in the mail yesterday (as a customer). As I didn't have a claim, I was going to comment that it seems Ironclad Games could indeed be picking up the license. Wonderful to hear from you and looking forward to seeing what you come up with. I won't be making Gencon this year, but, have you considered going to Historicon - the big east coast miniatures convention in Fredericksburg, VA. AD used to do a lot of business and demos there and this might give you guys a legup on the miniature gamers there as a concentrated 'target' - Gencon is great but huge and there aren't as many miniature gamers in one place. Kinda a captive audience. In any case, looking forward to your input here and the 'rebirth' of the products.

Let's give Ironclad some working time. Despite our eagerness, I recall reading somewhere in the information that it may be July or later before everything settles down and gets resolved.

Yes, this isn't going to happen overnight or next week or even next month. I'd be pleasantly surprised if we see anything concrete before the end of the year. I'm hoping that we'll see a lot of Joe round here getting our opinions on stuff, but setting up a new business and resolving all the legal issues is going to take time. Patience is the keyword!
