I wanted to do a short essay on concrete, and then realize that there is no point in redoing what is already done well. The following link is to a very good article: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ConcreteThe one thing missing that will be of interest to GMW players is that since Roman times there has been refractory concrete. A mixture specifically designed for use in ovens and forges. As the industrial age developed, fireboxes and boilers required the development of refractory materials. Refractory materials are specifically designed to handle very high temperature. The problem with refractory materials is that they tend to be brittle and heavy. They are not suitable for armoring vehicles. By taking pre-cast concrete pieces and using refractory mortar and a coating of refractory “stucco” concrete structures can be made that are very resistant to heat rays. This would include walls, barricades and traps.

So, how would you suggest this refractory concrete in GMW rules terms? Hmm like GMW vs AQ term actually as well.
