Yesterday I was able to take a piece of white muslin fabric, iron it to a piece of freezer paper, cut out a piece 8.5x11 inches in size, and run this through my ink-jet printer and print on it.
Iron the fabric to the shiny side of the freezer paper. Use the hottest setting on your iron. Be very careful to avoid wrinkles.
My project with this is to print up some "water" to make streams and some red weed.
On the red weed front: does anyone have a good image to use to print onto paper or cloth to represent red weed? I tried red indoor-outdoor carpet (the image) without success.

I have been planning on using red lichen probably on a pink bit of art foam to define the area. But I'm interested in what you find as I'm always open to better solutions.

Interesting technique hardlec. Alas, Cigarbox had a good image, but don't think they'd share and probably not available anymore.
