Wonderful working up an order now. One question, in the pics of your GMW farmstead #2 theres a paper harvestor martian machine in the process of destroying the building! So depending on licensing issues, you could possibly do paperterrain martian tripod/drones etc from the pictures in the rulebook?!? No pressure but man that would be sweet!

Morgan, Until the disposition of the All Quiet IP is settled, I'm not going to touch that Although if the tripods become completely unobtainable, I suppose that I could do a paper proxy model with all original artwork. Still, that is a decision for the future.

Oh most heartly agree - but, we can drool right?? A paper alternative to the whole line of martian machines would be most welcomed, especially if you could go into unpublished models. And an original design of the 'paper' Gatherer and Construction Machine would really fill the bill. As always a gentleman and a scholar.

Please stop diverting Scott's attention from making US Army gun towers with this tripod silliness.

LOL! Of course I already have US Army gun towers as part of my city walls sets. Not sure what I will work on next for The Great Martian War. I'm going to hold off on any big projects (like a river monitor) until we learn more about the game's fate. Small projects might still be possible.
Sales of the book seem very good as far as the Amazon reports go. That doesn't include Kindle sales. I'm supposed to see some hard figures (and some money!) after the end of this quarter. But for some reason B&N has decided not to carry the hardcopy of the book. You can get it by request however so I urge everyone to request a copy from your local B&N! If they get enough requests maybe they will stock it.

I was thinking about the stand alone green HQ towers and gun towers that go with trench lines.

scott - hardcopy??? ask who for the hardcopy - I'd love one to have you sign at Historicon 2016 mikedski - you mean like the MkIV HQ tank thing?? That'd work as well as a gun tower - something that could be built behind a trench line, good ideas. scott - please don't forget as 'small' projects, the other Martian static defenses, the Detection tower, and the Heatray fencing. As there is a model of their Power Node, that ones offlimits. But, those other two would fill out the static defenses we all kinda need for the Redoubt scenario and a couple of other things I've done (sorry); the partially completed Redoubt and the new 2ndGen Martian concept of advanced positions, kinda like Martian trenches (putting static defenses forward for staging areas). Anywhich way, I'm sure others here would support at least those two as 'small' projects after the great work you did on the Defense towers.

I was thinking about the stand alone green HQ towers and gun towers that go with trench lines. I agree. I have planned to build an HQ for the field commander like the one on the Mk IV command tank that would fit on the bunker for the AD trenches. I have assumed I would have to build it from plastic sheets, but if there is a paper model available from Scott's Paper Terrain company I would go that route. Hint. Hint.

Yeah, page 116/157 has the Gun Tower I believe - but, with scotts fortress walls & guns there's really no need for that one unless your during some early war style 'walls' like in my OOB using MBAs walls I've talked about (the ones from the Iraq DIRect sales, which I use for early war wall/tower attempts). However the MkIV command tank they have, taken off the silly track with those 4" guns and one HMG (the other was on the hull of the tank version) would work very well in the trench environs, especially if overlooking a small hill or ridge. I've relooked at the MkIV flamethrower tank, its height doesn't seem as severe a problem as the command tanks tower and actually looks reasonable with the two 4" guns in its makeup. Again, this would be a nice static tower addition to the trench line as long as it was an end cap of the trench line for firing its flamethrower (wouldn't want to be anywhere under that spray!). Both of these tower could be paperterrained and present some nice static defense addition to scotts excellent trenchline and obsticles. Using the dragonteeth as explosive devises and barbed wire to impend Lobototons and drones with the flame thrower and 4" guns of it & the command tower present a nice defense againts the martian hordes - once the copyright issues of AD are cleared up, I'm sure scott sees the possiblity for these two pieces.

For what it is worth: Unused MK-III superstructures can be used as gun turrets on defensive works. Just mount them on a small base of their own. Or not. Your choice.
Waste not, want not.

That's what I did. Cut out some foam squares, cut an angle on the front, and glued the MK 3 box on top. Took about 20 minutes to make 4 of them.
