The following is a link to a site where you can download a paper model of Jeff Wayne's Tripod. home.kpn.nl/erwin47/models/tripod/I am hoping those of you whose hope is waning will be refreshed. Paper models can be made of ALL the items needed to play AQMF, even the dice (I'd rather not play with paper dice, but I could, which is the point. What appeals to me about the game more than anything else (There is a LLOONNGG list of things I like) is game system. It is clean, fast and easy to use. Yes, the Jeff Wayne tripod would be little more than a starting point. One possible future for the game would be to abandon plastic or metal figures and look at paper models as an option: Low shipping costs for paper, and no shipping cost for downloads. Downloads are available instantly Easy modifications Developers can make lots of variants Terrain can be included. There are already lots of paper terrain options. Players can add flocking, aquarium gravel and lichen to make things a bit more 3D Paper models are very robust. They survive the jostling of transportation very well, without the need for expensive foam packing cases. have fun.

WOO-HOO!! Great model. Great point about paper or card kits.
Another source for bunches of paper/card soldiers, equipment, vehicles, etc is a site named Junior General (junorgeneral.org). Site is aimed at educators who wish to use games for classroom aids. (MORE POWER to THAT!!) Many time periods and many nations. Don't let the name put you off the content.
This is especially timely because we can expect AD parts to become scarcer and more expensive over time....unless other manufacturers step up or alternates are recognized.

That's cool stuff. I have the 2 record album and tend to play it when painting Martian Front models.

With scott free of the legal chains of AD, I look forward to a lot of new paperterrain Martian products in the near future. 'Strike while the iron is hot!'

I have no doubt that Scott could produce all the models needed for AQMF, if we could give him 48 hour Days and 14 day weeks.
He's been a busy boy.

Yep and he's currently at Cold Wars 2016 in PA. So nothing for about a week, then theres Easter for some. Probably heading into March before we seen anything starting new. BTW, I do hope his new Napy figures in 6mm do well at the convention - they were gloriously nice.

I have the Album as well. There is supposed to be a video game, but I have not found it. There were two very different games from the late 90s ,they're mentioned elsewhere in the forum

The old computer games are mentioned, but still AWOL. That's OK because I haven't been in a Computer game mood science Harpoon(c) was out.
Scott's Napoleonic line gives me ideas of battles on a meadow decorated with a checkerboard of glittering uniforms. H.G. Wells published a set of rules for Napoleonic battles. Maybe I should look for a toy cannon. :-)

Yes, indeed. HG Wells' book, LTTLE WARS, is usually considered the foundational work in codified wargame rules for civilian players.
