Hi,
I've just opened my latest purchase; a squadron of Spectors. Holy thin metal Batman!!!
I've just about got the gist of how they go together but any advice or hints would be gratefully received. It's very fiddly!

Well I just kept gluing then to my fingers. Brush on super glue helps

They are very fiddle. It seemed to me that the underbody detail was cast upside down. I could not get a satisfactory fit between the chassis and body until I filed down the transmission case.

I thought the same thing. All that detail seems wasted.

They go together OK without doing anything to the transmission. It's a confusing kit. When I started to build them I began in the wrong order and it wouldn't fit - same issue with the transmission. I then realized that you need to glue the piece with the running boards, which intuitively would go below the frame, to the car body first. Then the frame/chassis goes under that and everything will clear. The pieces with the running boards. rear fenders, and vee to match the rear of the body were all squashed so had to be carefully reshaped - fortunately the metal is soft and none of those pieces broke.

Aha. So that is what I was doing wrong. I glued the running board piece on top of the chassis. I don't think I even though of putting it under the chassis. Oh well. They came out looking all right.
