In looking at the list of human vehicles I noticed there is a MKIIc command tank and Patton's MkIV is a command tank, but there is no MkIII command tank listed. I though why not, so I built one. Here it is ready for paint.

Yes good job. I always wondered about the 'MkII' command tank is really a MkIII superstructure type. In a way, there should be a true MkIIc that uses the MkII hull. With the new Conqueror command tank, the MKIV has a reasonable tank (not a stupid designed tower). Ty. PS: I seem to recall someone (maybe deathfromabove) did something on that MkII command version. Anyone seen him for a while??

Thanks for the nice words. I always assumed the superstructure on the MkII command tank was added to give room for the command element. (The inside of the hull must be pretty crowded.) Then the superstructure got incorporated into the MkIII version as a way to get more guns on the beast.

Thats very interesting having the 'MkII' command tanks as the proto-type for the MkIII series. It makes sense in a way - once the superstructure was deemed battleworthy, production of the command tanks continued, whilst the MkIII got it addition guns and current form.

Nice! I figured out which Ford Conqueror tank will be the 'MkII command tank" - the 'Steam Tank, No Sponsons MG or 3" Gun version. Just put in the front MG and put a flag setup on top next to the rear hatch. But, then, thats kinda retro and frankly I love your MkIIIc much better in the flow of things. Now if I could sacrifice a MkIII for one I'd be set. Hmmm might be worth it though, would look so right in the scheme of things - especially now that we're in AQ 1916. Most the formations should be made up of MkIII tanks with the MkII assigned to gun towing and support of those artillery units in the field. The 'new' Ford Motor Companys MkIV Conqueror tanks are the standard as we go forward to the spring and summer battles, with the MkIII tanks being gradually phased out through attrition (goodby AD). Some militia units will have MkII tanks for the first time, finally moving away from the outdated Renaults and British MkIV male/female tanks. Most state militia will continue to use a mix of both and the Texans will maintain their usual display of inventive alternative armor.
