Since you have already lit the smaller ones, this should be a walk in the park. Plenty of room for batteries, LEDs, wiring and switch.
I can see how you got the LEDs and stuff into the smaller tripods. What kind of batteries do you use for power?

For once, I'm ahead of the game as I have that Pegasus tripod kit in my basement somewhere. All those tiny 'finger' tentacles make it seem fragile for gaming, but we'll see!
Agree that the 2005 version captured the spirit of the original book very well - a sedate civilization suddenly in panicked flight, turning on each other, the feeling of complete powerlessness (well, until the Cruise character pulls a Skywalker and blows up a Martian from the inside!).

Nice job on the tripods. Thanks for the info.
I wish that I had seen this before I sealed mine up during assembly. Oh well.
Where did you find the lighting kits?

The thread on the Assault Tripods has the link to the lighting kits.

Lots of room for lights...I opted not to do so at this time...but the top half of the head fits snug enough that I didn't have to glue in it place, leaving open possibilities for the future.
