HI. I have started working on some flow charts to try and give the martians some AI for solo play. I have the Grenadier tripod done well enough I think. The flow chart is intended to dictate the tripod's behavior for a turn. To be clear you should start the chart at the armor check step. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Great start! Only thing I would add is target priority. Nearest Target first? Infantry first? Open infantry first?

FWIW: Flowchart convention often uses a rectangular shape with round ends as START or END points. The rounded ends make it quick to locate on the page.
Nice start on the AI

Thank you. I have been waiting for someone to come up with a way to play solo. Keep up the good work.

Got a decision tree for Loboton Slicers done. Still working on the format though.

"Is there to many steps?" not really, just keep it clear. Loboton Blasters can go after armour. Just make infantry their primary target. Keep up the good work!

No--not too many steps.
The unswerving aggression of the lobotons makes their AI relatively simple.

I was also thinking about a 'Card Driven" activation method, but that requires a lot of tinkering with the core rules and moving to alternate activations.

I was also thinking about a 'Card Driven" activation method, but that requires a lot of tinkering with the core rules and moving to alternate activations. So something like a deck of cards. One for each unit. That you would shuffle at the start of the martian turn and then draw to determine activation order. Or possibly have a card drawn that determines the target priority for that unit to be plugged into the flow chart.

OR cards could be segmented with a section for each major type of Martian: lobos, assault, scout,. grenadier, special (harvester reaper, etc.). This would avoid having millions of cards on the table at one time. Some sort of activation priority number could be used (exact mechanics TBD), When the unit performs its action, turn the card face down beside the unit to indicate that it used its action for the turn. Take up cards at end of turn, re-shuffle, and deal again.

Like the addition of cards for solo play. Thanks for the idea of solo play.
