I hope you don't mind but just jotting down thoughts about figures that might round out and help complete the range. Please chip in with any ideas or thoughts.

A Green Martian jeddak, I wonder if the Tharks need a leader figure? The Martian empires rules require multiple command figures.

A sprue of rapier style swords for the Green Martian forces. The current weapons sprue is good but how about one with rapier style swords rather than that muckle broadsword?

Are the French still on the horizon?

As far as the French go, looking what has been done, I think it is time to start from scratch, apart from the walker. The figures are chunkier, like the Prussians, and my preference is for slim and elegant, like the British. Mike had some done as the basis for a potential Kickstarter, but they're short on variety and some command figures. It's harder picking up the pieces from this than it is to give someone a whole new brief. I am currently trying out a new sculptor on something different first, and assuming that they prove OK will be briefing them on the French for ME later in the year.

Slim and elegant to fit in with British is the way to go in my opinion. You mentioned an artillery piece for French. Do you have in mind a Franco Prussian era muzzle loader or the later breechloading 1897? Or something more VSF?

I think Mike was planning balloon troops as well for the French, is that still a thing?

I have to look into this, not to mention finding some decent line drawing of guns and a mitrailleuse. Mike is the expert on Victorian-era wargaming; I like writing rules. :-)

I think Mike was planning balloon troops as well for the French, is that still a thing? Balloon troops are still planned. Now I'm free to do so, and have more time, I have a number of projects as well as the ME French to get under way. The notepad is up to three pages of ideas and still expanding.
