Here is the rager family. I need to prime these to get a decent picture. But you can at least get a sense of the grouping.

The destroyed drone. I did a little more damage too the model by cutting off part of a leg. Probably didn't need to do that. Looks pretty dead already. I wouldn't mind having several more of these.

Here is the Martian and skeleton. I think it may have been called the Curious Martian.

I guess I had assumed the figures were proper HO scale. After reading this thread I put an AQ figure up against my scale ruler and next to an actual HO figure. The figure scale shows the figure about 5 feet 6 inches tall. Next to a true scale HO figure the AQ figure is a little short, although the thicker base of the HO figure make comparison a bit difficult.

Madmorgan, glad to hear someone is stepping up to take on the Living Rulebook. From the contact we have had on the forum I anticipate you will do a great job. If I can do anything to help, let me know.

Is that 1/92 for vehicles? Human figures are still 1/87? I think someone else had commented that vehicles were slightly under scale.

That is a good idea. I like that it gives more flexibility for larger caliber guns.

Thanks for the nice words. I always assumed the superstructure on the MkII command tank was added to give room for the command element. (The inside of the hull must be pretty crowded.) Then the superstructure got incorporated into the MkIII version as a way to get more guns on the beast.

I had the same problem with the mono tanks being prone to tip over. I bought the Renedra round bases (same size the machine guns are supplied with) and find they do a nice job of stabilizing them.

In looking at the list of human vehicles I noticed there is a MKIIc command tank and Patton's MkIV is a command tank, but there is no MkIII command tank listed. I though why not, so I built one. Here it is ready for paint.

Very interesting. I am going to have to try a scenario at night. Thanks for posting this Madmorgan.
I am chewing on the discussion and I am not certain it is necessary that the Martians have night vision capability equivalent to the US army today. I can see the Martians having slightly better vision in low light conditions, but judging by the Mars Rover experience daytime illumination levels are only slightly lower than those found on Earth. So they are not going to see in the dark without augmentation (not that anyone suggested that ). So they will need night vision equipment to see well in the night, but they would only develop such equipment if their tactical doctrine called for it.
Remember they are alien and their society and physiology could have any number of reasons for them to avoid fighting in the dark if they can avoid it. Some have already been mentioned, like the mind machine interface being stressful and tiring. The higher Earth gravity will also cause stress and tire the Martians. The difference in planetary rotation times will be disruptive. In reality most of these environmental things can be adjusted to, but who knows how well the alien physiology of the Martians can adapt.
There can be cultural reasons. Perhaps it is widely held that gentle-martians do not attack in the dark. Or the gods or their equivalent of the Geneva conventions forbid it.
None of this is meant to be critical. I enjoy the speculation and the reminder that the Martians do not have to be humans in rubber suits.

Looks good. One change/addition - for the smoke round, add after ...heat ray "and lasers" - this for the new Venusian weapons I've added recently. Otherwise all good -ty! Added lasers to the smoke effects.
