Here are a few photos of my Canadian force for AQ. I took many more tonight after not having seen the sun for a week, and not expecting to for days yet. The lighting was too poor to use most of the photos so these are the few presentable ones. Whenever the sun returns I'll take more. Mk IV Monitor M2. M1 is identical except for the numbers and having a Patton figure in the hatch. I'll have to touch up the edges of the M on the rear - the Agrax Earthshade wash picked out the edges of the decal. Artillery command unit - Blue Moon and AQ figures. The hat-less BM figure is from the WWI American heavy trench mortar set. (Note that none of the bases have had static grass and grass clumps added yet.) One of three Blue Moon heavy trench mortar teams. The bases will fit in the AQ resin trenches. Canadian Western Force militia command unit composed of Blue Moon WWI British command figures on a reduced width base to fit in narrow 20mm scale trenches from Ironclad Miniatures in the UK. Unfortunately none of the photos of the militia units on skirmishing bases (2 figs per 20x 50mm base) were good enough to post. There are 4 units of skirmishers that use the British Home Guard stats and skirmish rules from the AQ British rules expansion pdf. Field Commander's unit with captured Martian. (Blue Moon WWI British command figures.)

Very nice. Big like on the captured Martian. After Alien Dungeon failed I was able to buy a downed tripod with crew and made several resin copies of the Martian. This is one of them; I based the rest on 40mm round Renedra bases. The thought was that in some scenarios a die can be rolled to see if a destroyed tripod's pilot survives. If so it can (slowly) try to evade the human forces or be rescued by another tripod. Points can be given to either side for successful escapes and captures. There was more detail on the figure than I'd realized so it was fun to paint. I'm basing the body colours on underwater experiences with squid when I was a marine biologist - reddish if acutely alarmed/captured but pale brownish - purplish otherwise. This one is not happy!

I like the use of the Blue Moon command figures. I need to do that for my army one of these days.

here's some detail on the Blue Moon command packs. There are 4 powers represented American, British, French, and German. The figures in the pack are 'identical', meaning the same basic pose and look for each. They all cost $13.00 or $7.80 if you have the excellent Old Glory Army membership ($50 per year giving 40% off all items). I recommend the membership to anyone planning to buy large numbers of Blue Moon, True North or any of the excellent 1/600 and 15mm Shipyard pieces. Each Command pack has 24 figures of 3 officers with hats and 3 NCOs with helmet and bayoneted rifle. One of the the officers is leading a charge with pistol in hand, the other two are more subdued commanding figures. The NCOs are all in action, pointing the way and generally stirring up the troops morale. See my TO&Es for use of these excellent figures and I'm sure you will have you're own designs as well. Don't overlook an occasional artillery commander with a battery, especially the Hev. Field Guns units. Enjoy!

I've used Blue Moon WWI British officers to replace AQ command figures in the ruined building KS dioramas and in the retail command unit with large oval base. They mix well with the AQ figures.
