OMG! thank you scott - will have to get an order together soon - getting more cacti and this vessel!! Quick question - what size is the gunnery represented ?? Looks like 4" and maybe 7"?? Thanks!

It's spelled out in the set of rules I posted in the other gunboat thread. A 6" in the turret and 4" in the casemates. Glad you like it!

How wide does my "river" need to be to turn the boat around? I sincerely covet the ability to incorporate this with my "barges" and Burgess Dunne.

Well, if you interpret my rules literally, I guess you'd need the river to be about 18" wide. But I'd say just adjust things however you want and simply declare before the start of the game that "this river is wide enough for my gunboat to turn around."

If the river is part of the table edge, you need only have the gunboat close enough to the shore to be firing/a target. The width of the river can be as wide as you want 'off table'. btw this works also for pontoon bridges or other bridges; there's no need to place actual river terrain where the table edge is concerned, just show the bridge starting on the shore and off where ever fits the table. The importance is if a unit can make it up and onto the bridge in most cases.
