IIRC, this is done by the man who did Wings of War, now called Wings of Glory. WoW was a fun game. It featured a very simple ground attack-landing-taking off optional rule series.
This seems to me to be a very early play test. I like the Tripod renderings.

Wow what fun! I really like the look of the Tripods as well. And the system seems well thought out. I've got to get to my Wings buddy (who painted me up some Wings 1:144 aircraft in USA colors) with this - we play his numerous Wings planes a lot & he enjoyed AQ at Historicon this past summer, so this will be a natural fit for us both! Good find

I disagree on the renderings. They have way too many spiky, scaly, toothy thingies on the outside to be the mechanical tripods. They look more like the ALIEN from the movie (with Sigourney Weaver). Conversely, the black tripod used for the photos is another unusual version.
Interesting game concept. There certainly appears to be a lot of interest growing in War of the Worlds.
My $0.02 and YMMV.

All a matter of taste and I don't claim to have any

I hated the Alien movie, so naturally they made more. 👾
It is doubtful that the Italian game will hit US shelves.
There does seem to be a consistent interest in WotW, which is growing.
I really wish I could get a copy of "The Great Martian War." It is not being shown nor does it seem to be for sale. Likewise, other versions such as "Goliath" are hard to find. The 1953 movie and the Tom Cruise version have made appearances lately.
There is a book coming out soon 😀.

Good news!!
NetFlix claims to have Great Martian War for download or streaming. If you download it, you can save a copy for personal use. IF NetFilx software will let you.
