One of Well's less known work is short story called "the Land Ironclads." The land ironclads are described as ” 100-foot-long machines that are equipped with remote-controlled guns and that carry riflemen, engineers, and a captain. They are "essentially long, narrow, and very strong steel frameworks carrying the engines, and borne on eight pairs of big pedrail wheels, each about ten feet in diameter, each a driving wheel and set upon long axles free to swivel around a common axis. . . . the captain . . . had look-out points at small ports all round the upper edge of the adjustable skirt of twelve-inch ironplating which protected the whole affair… “ Mr Ralph Currell has produced a FREE print and assemble card model of Wells' land ironclads. It is close to the AQMF scale. Here is the link: www.currell.net/models/ironclad.htmAnd here is what they look like: New technology to brighten the Martians' day!!! Thanks to Mr Currell He also has zeppelins on the free site.

Sweet! I know you can 'scale' printing, but just for full disclosure, what is the scale or size of your photographed examples? That is an amazing model & I'm drooling over the concept. Zeps too! TY again for the listing. Cheers

It is about 12 inches long. From the instruction sheet Mr Currell provides:
This model is a 1:110 scale replica and is compatible with 15mm figures popularly used in wargaming. The design is my interpretation of the vehicle described in the H.G. Wells short story.
