Man, you do nice work! Those look great. I note you've gone with 5" naval turrets. Is that a change from the 7", the 6" howitzers, and the ATgs? I still have those. I'm just on a roll making terrain for the next table top conflagration.

Guns towers completed. Also built a command platform. Also finished the breached barricades. They will still remain a substantial obstacle to movement, especially human movement.

Bully!! Damn fine work sir. Those cranes turned out well, having them 'tied down' position was the key. Gads, you might want to consider at some point in the future offering your talents to IG. As the new owners, they could use some first rate modelers for terrain features as well as getting their tanks up. I could see this as part of a USA/BEF addon to trench sets (assuming they do such things again).

I don't know about how great an obstacle you should consider these to movement by infantry troops. There are some pretty big holes through the line that would permit rapid human movement while stopping/slowing anything bigger. Possibly not considered worse than difficult terrain for infantry. Of course, tanks would suffer, probably impassable.

Difficult for tripods- they still have to step over /around the wreckage much like building rubble.

Final fortification structures.
The command tower I made by making a resin copy of the land ironclad bridge and mounting on Plastruct miniature supports resting on a Flames of War large base. I made a resin base for it to rest on the bunker. I took the original top of the bunker, smooth down the top with down with a drill sander and then used modeling clay to make a lip around the top to accommodate a the large FOW base. Then made resin copies of this modified bunker roof that can now accommodate future towers of turreted gun positions.
The artillery observation tower is a Plastruct oil derrick which placed on a large FOW base. Inside the derrick I place small flat pieces of plastic going from side to side with a ladder from ground to the base of the observation post. I cut down a 4" gun and place a clear glass piece to represent some sort of telescope or range finder. I figure at this point in the war maybe humans also purloined optical technology from the Martians as well.

Nice work! I think I'll do the same and copy the Land Ironclad bridge for my Field Commander's tower. It's volume is about 25% more than the top level of my scratch-built versions of the AD Command Tower. The first two are for Company Commanders; I was thinking the Field Commander's tower should look different and be larger.

Very impressive work. Did you scratch build the 'pill-box' type turrets?
