khurasanminiatures.tripod.com/
Above is the Khurasan Miniatures link for 15mm WW I figs
I read here that they had decent scale compared to AQMF. Khurasan was very responsive to getting me a sample to check the scale, so your legwork is done! The survey says YES! Keep in mind the AQMF figs are running and leaning forward, while the Khurasans are in a stationary posture and thus slightly taller. Also the Khur. are standing atop the flocking adding slight mm or 2
They are just great as you can see by the 2 pics here. They will fit perfectly to supplement artillery crews etc. Quality is very fine as compared to other brands we all know.
Just wanted to make sure they "fit" in our AQMF universe.

Did you notice who the sculptor is?

No, but I'm sure they could tell you. Looking at these figs with just early WW1 service caps...I think they might be slick as State Guard units

Yeap! I've been using the Khurasan for a while, they're great. Mystri Island has 3 very nice 'special persons' figures, one German, one Female with big elephant rifle, and one British - the two men with pistols. MYST-1 for all three at only $2.99! I'm excited that they just started a Terrain, etc. line. Only one item yet and its not usabale for AQ, but, this promises more good stuff. Sheparton's Gangster Henchmen (LC-103) have a nice mix of tommy guns, shotguns, a BAR and pistol armed civilians. Also theres the LC-300 Lawmen, nice mix of police figures with a 'special person' two pistol detective. I've already listed the Garn & Soriog for my Venusian figures and the TTC-2500 craft they use to get to Earth. Theres also the TR-6 & TR-8 steel drums and wall sections as well as the TR-2 Space Demon Lair (abandoned mineshaft). The TTC-2404H make nice Martian 2nd Generation weapon drones. "They Came From Planet 15" has a mutated Martian with heat under Slimee-1; not sure what to make of the Slimee-2 battlesuit, as its kinda human with tracks and very martian with single 'eye' and claw and 'dust' gun. The Initiate Containment Protocol (PLA-HU1) would work for British Heavy Infantry (painted proper colors). The Dethroids (PLA-11) make great 2nd generation drones. The Evil Midtech figures (TTC-1902 thru 1907) make good British Heavy Infantry as well. The flying drone from TTC-1903 would be good for 2ndGen Martians. And finally (TTC-3005) Security Bots for my idea on 2ndGen replacements for Lobos, what I deem CBADs. Yeah, I kinda like Khurasan Miniatures look. And their a USA company, even better.

I may add a Canadian militia unit using the WWI British troops, Command, Maxim HMGs and 18 pdr field guns.

The Khurasan range has some great figures. I saw a couple of Sci-fi troop sets that could pass as British Assault troops, aside from the Initiate Containment Protocol, though the pulse rifles looked a bit too modern.

Agreed, the Evil Midtech figures are really nice - I just chalk the 'pulse rifles' as updated Mars Pattern rifles and move on.

Gads, how did I not mention the line of historical 1914 troops - they even have some guns. Great stuff. I purpose those side bags on the British are for gasmasks - I know they aren't IRL, but still, it would make your Canadian Militia a more effective force - playin the other troops without gas masks limits them to 1908 or 09 senarios. Of coarse, with the S2G figures, you have troops for a militia with gasmasks

Of coarse, with the S2G figures, you have troops for a militia with gasmasks I'll probably base the militia as Skirmishers as per the BEF add-on rules. Though Mike Broadbent sculpted both the WWI Khurasan and S2G figures I prefer the former because they appear to be better proportioned and more detailed. I'm going to make a silicone mold of some BEF infantry heads and see if I can make resin heads to use on figures without gas masks.
