My attempt at a Texas style militia tank force. My variant of a Texas Longhorn, Tea Tosser, and Mark IIIs.

Great conversions and I really like the paint scheme. Putting the Longhorn's gun mount completely outside of the hull is the logical way to go! Better use of those strange side plates too.

Thanks for the comments.
I remember seeing a kick starter picture from 2013 that featured a steamer with a 100mm gun with a trailer which might have been a prototype Texas Longhorn. The AT gun is such a large weapon that it would need a trailer just for it's ammo. A small FOW base fits nicely over the hull of the steamer tank. For me anyway, I though putting the cannon and the Tea Tosser contraption above the hull made more sense mechanically and makes them look more ad hoc.

Wow they look great. What paints and colours did you use? Jealous of the Tea Tossers as still after them

Is that a crewman working an exterior HMG on one of the TX tanks?

Is that a crewman working an exterior HMG on one of the TX tanks? On the Texas tea Tosser there is a unfortunate crewman that has to load the barrels. The auto loader is not yet up to snuff.

Is that a crewman working an exterior HMG on one of the TX tanks? I thought the same thing, but upon closer inspection the MG is angled in just such a way that it buts up against a helmet which a crewmen left on a sandbag on top of the tank.

Maybe one time I'll stop along the way and visit John Wayne's house. You're on. I'll provide some additional gamers and even buy you lunch, or dinner. This may even give me the incentive to work on a few more models.
