Being fairly new to the game and having seen only the Assault Tripod in real life, I was wondering if anyone could post photos of the martian tripods together to get an idea of scale and size. I have heard that the scout is only slightly smaller than the assault and it seems like the slaver is short in squat but its still a bit hard to tell. At the same time, how tall is the average drone. Last night, I ordered a pizza (the joy of Valentine's Day on your own) and before slipping into the inevitable food coma found myself staring at the little tripod that keeps the pizza box from touching your toppings. I feel like these could maybe be used as the base for a small tripod or drone. Considering you can get them for ten cents a piece, these seem like a possibly cost effective way to outfit an army. Thoughts?

Egads a man after my own heart - see my thread on Strange Bits for other oddities that you can use for modeling AQ. Thats brilliant! What pizza place still does those btw?? I usually 'Papa Johns' (well not anymore sigh), so not sure which vendor still does those. Let me know. On a similiar line - I think I'm going to head over to the wedding section of Walmarts later today and maybe check the phonebook for some other wedding planners. It occurs to me that weddings tend to have alot of odd plastic bits (like a cake seperators). My memory of the pizza piece above was that it was quite small - do take a measurement of the diameter & height for us all please. Cheers!

I'm coming out to 1 3/8 inches tall by 1 1/2 inches wide on the measurements although I've also seen them online at 1 5/8 x 1 1/2. Ebay has the first size for 5 bucks for a fifty pack with free shipping. Some restaurant supply companies sell them by the thousands.

Cool thanks - translate to 3.5cm x 4cm wide or the others at 4.2cm x 4cm. Look pretty good. The 18mm figure is about 3/4" in size (size diameter of a a USA penny).

They also make one without the center circle which, with the legs clipped, a body added to the center, and a flying stand could make for a hover drone possibly...

Thats pretty cool. Hope to get to Walmarts this afternoon to see what is available there in their wedding section as well as some of the other stores that have similiar product - one of my favorites is the big box hobby stores - we have two in the area, with fake flowers, arts & craft sections, lots of paints, and similiar stuff for the 'home' crafts stuff. They provide a wealth of materials to work with.

Check Hobby Lobby or JoAnn's. They have lots of stuff that works well for other purposes. Both offer apps with 40% off one item coupons.

Jo Ann's is one of the brick&mortar stores I was referring too. Strange how I'd never thought of online shopping from them - ty!

All AQMF unless noted; Assault 5 3/4", Scout 4 3/4", Slaver 3 1/2", Rebel Minis Small Walker 2" (not counting antennae), Grenadier 3". Note that there are two 18mm AQMF humans on the Slaver base for size comparison.
