I survived Irma well enough, but I have a well and no power. So no water, toilet, internet, AC etc. Phone service is erratic. Hope to be back soon.

Good luck! Can you drain off some power from your Tesla Cannon?

We were advised to prepare for 3 days and it's been 7. The trucks are now in my neighborhood. Yay!!! I had to use my tesla coil on an Alligator. With Alligators it's not enough just to kill 'em, you have to convince them their dead.

Egads, I almost forgot your location. Dang, can't say you've not had an interesting life eh? I'm glad Maria turned away, I don't think Texas or Florida could take another hit from a monster storm. Got to keep a weather eye out - this season isn't over yet. Nah, we humans have had no effect on the climate...

First there was Harvey. Who'd-a-thought a six foot invisible rabbit would be tough enough to take on Texas? Then came Irma. She was CAT-2 when she hit us. It will be months before all the debris is picked up. Two doors down our neighbors had a 65 foot tall oak tree fall on their house. The house took a lot of damage.
Mostly I'm grateful.
I've been going through stuff and I am going to need to make some hard choices as to what to keep.
I'm also more than a little put of by FU having the football game. 20,000 people had no power. We were using ice to keep out refrigerators cold and keep the food from spoiling, but 20,000 tailgators got ice for their coolers. People displaced by the hurricane were displaced again by Tennessee fans. It made all kinds of sense to have a football game in an area recovering from a hurricane.

Eeerrr. Unbeliveable, as I type, they're showing another storm gathering strength out in the Atlantic. With the two cold fronts we just had through & cool night temps, the whole season should shut down soon. Unfortunately, the ocean temps are up a lot over the past year and I fear we'll have a late season in the southern attitudes.
