Recently I was able to play a small game using my Terrain Tiles. Setting up was pretty easy, as was taking down. Adding trees and buildings made things even more interesting. The conditions were not ideal, the space was too small, however I quickly learned that with the hexagonal tiles can conform to many table shapes, unlike a mat which is one size fits one. I am hoping to acquire the coasts and rivers set to let my gunboat and barges get their licks in. Pictures are included.

Those are pretty cool! They make me think of the old GW/Milton Bradley game Battlemasters.

Posts like this keep nudging me toward buying a couple of boxes of the TerrainTiles. The AQMF items don't look too far off scale.

I have been searching for a modular terrain setup for decades. I am very happy with this system. With my next paycheck I plan to buy the rivers and coastline set. This will allow me to have a river big enough for my gunboat and barges.
The roads are the only feature that gives the tiles any sort of scale, and the makers have been very careful to make it work for 15mm and 25mm. Even the roads fade as scale delimiters when you add a few buildings and some trees.
