The opening of the Siege of Europe creates a wealth on new possibilities.
Stating the obvious:
Germany and France are major industrial powers which each will have different troops and different equipment that England and the US. The French and the Germans will have different helmets and be different from across the table, but creating different troops for France and Germany will not be an enormous outlay of cost for development.
The "heavy equipment" will offer another wealth of options. Think of all the things we can do with little more than a single tank design, a single armored car design and a single "field gun" design for each nation?
Austria will probably follow German conventions, but the Austrians will have some of their own stuff, creating another major faction for a minimal cost in developing new molds.
Turkey will probably keep their Turbans, Italy will probably use Adrian (French) helmets, both countries will both "buy" heavy equipment from the "major powers" while incorporating their own unique designs. Add a few pieces to create whole new factions.
I am eager to see what is just down the road.
Two questions for ICG:
Is it possible to use a resin similar to what Reaper(r) uses for their "BONES" figures? it is light, easy to modify and takes paint well. I am inclined to think it can use the same molds as metal or hard resin.
Is there any chance that once the war goes global, the Morlocks, Selenites or Venusians might join the party?

I am inclined to think it can use the same molds as metal or hard resin. Bones are a vinyl plastic, not like the resin that we use. They are injection molded, i believe, and sourced in Asia (most likely, though I could be wrong about where they are made). Reaper does spincast their metals in house, but did kickstarters to expand to the Bones line. We do not have the machines (not sure of anyone really in the states that does) to switch the line over to 100% injection molded plastic. That would be very expensive... Is there any chance that once the war goes global, the Morlocks, Selenites or Venusians might join the party? The sculpts were done for some Underdwellers. I am actually making those now, though not as their own faction. The rules that I am toying with has them as an optional force that an existing human nation can take as an ally (this is their Earth too). Hoping to have them and the Overseer for sale at Little Wars!

Wonderful news on both the Overseer and the Morlocks! If they're allies with humans, makes an interesting story line. I'm dusting off my various Morlock vs Human and Morlock vs Martian scenarios - see the OOB and TO&E sub section for the threads. One question about the French and German troops. Will these be new figures and if so, like your current Prussians and British? Looking forward to whatever you do - just want to plan some TO&Es and OOBs based on the new stuff as well (Remember I use S2G as very elite special troops).

Whatever they are eventually called, I am happy the Morlocks are getting ready to emerge.
My experience with casting is way out of date, I know, but I keep hoping there will be an option to the metal, which is heavy, and resin, which chips so easily. I suspected "Bones" used a new type of Resin, I was wrong.
Injection molding is very expensive to set up. Combining the enormous set-up cost of injection molding and the ever decreasing costs of 3D printing, I suspect it is not good business right now to go into injection molding.
Of course, the big thing that makes IC so good is their artistry and their ability to get things done. BULLY!
