The Founder and Gatherer are projected tripods. They were part of the original kickstarter, but they are not yet built, except maybe for some pre-production sculpts or virtual art.
Alien Dungeon was very optimistic in their release schedule.

Several folks on the forum have created Gatherers from other company lines.

You know? I would like to see the Gatherer Tripod. It could be like the Harvester Tripod, but with more cages and claws. Also the founder Tripod could be like the Handling machines but on steroids...And on three legs.
*Sigh* If only the Martians had their own sort of Air-force...

I use Black Hats Maritan walker (with six legs) and some Reaper 'modern' dumpsters for Gatherers. The dumpster fits perfecting under a tripod based Gatherer and I got the one that was 'open' so various figures (alive & dead) and chopped up parts can be displayed within. I did one with an open dumpster and one with it closed, presumed filled. I also allowed for them to have Light Heat Rays, as I can't see any reason, besides a Founder, for a the thing not to have some defensive armament. I think I'll add a small cost (maybe 5 points?) for that or just give it 'free' per my above reasoning.

Great holy cow!!! DON"T give the Martians an air force! They have plenty of advantages as it is. Air to air gunnery with a heat ray should be a snap-lightspeed shots-no deflection required. Unless the prey creatures manage too big an advantage from their air power.
They had some aircraft in the original War of the Worlds and were merrily gassing everything and everybody until the microbes whacked them.

Hover is good enough; they're not used to our strong gravity. Can't get as high as they did at home.

*Chuckles* OK...what about some sort of hovercraft that resembles the 1950's Martian War machines

The puny humans have only a small benefit from flight, at the moment there is one aircraft available. The Martians with flight would be unstoppable. To date there is no way to ambush an aircraft. The main human tactics would easily be circumvented by flying Martians.
Eventually there may be a need for anti-aircraft rules, but right now, I can't see the martians develop flight until 1950.

Look, lets see more interesting tripod & drone designs, maybe a new lobo type (beside the lobowardogs[which i have developed] and lobocrocs [not the shoe lol]. I agree the originals were hover type - but, certainly not more than the currant altitude of the drones. I agree with the aforementioned comment - the use of 'flying' Martians with the games idea (and Scotts excellent reveal of) being more or totally resisting Earth microbes, would negate the use of the game at all. As the really missed actors comment -"Game over, man!"

Yeah I agree, I kinda think we should set up a conversation about non Tripod like Martian machines.

They are mentioned in the Martian Royal Tripods and Machines pdf. It seems like they should have targeters like scout tripods but no rules or models yet
