Caught by the harsh winter and Martian offensive, the USA forces desperately tries to hold the line. Here we find a mixed force of Regulars and IL Militia units in a bloody battle.
Time: Winter 1916-17. Location: Winfield, IL. Turns: Six + roll. Table 4x6' Narrow, running East to West. Terrain: (MARS) Frozen River along East edge 6" wide.; (USA) Trench line running North to South 12" from West edge, (2) Light Wood 18" from Mid-line. Setup: MARS enters East edge Turn 1; USA set up units anywhere West of Mid-line. Objective: Break Opponent.
MARS: 3600 points @50% = 1800 BP with 18 Order tokens. Pod 10
(1) Dominator Tripod# @350 + FC @30; (2) Veteran Tripods @500 = 880 points
(3) Assault Tripods @600; (2) Black Dust & (1) Green Gas @150; (3) Scout Tripods @450 w/Targeters @15 = 1215 points
(2) Grenadier Tripods @200; (2) Slaver Tripods [c] @200; (3) Drone Squads @180; (2) Scorpion Squads @100 = 780 points

[c] = controller #Sniper attached to Dominator
USA: Total 3600 points @50% = 1800 BP with 18 Order tokens.
A Company, 1st Battalion, 124th Regiment: Battalion HQ: Command Squad @30 + FC @30 + covered Flivver @15 = 75 points

1st Armor Company HQ: (1) Mk IIc @85; (3) Tank Platoons ec (3) Mk III tanks @775; (2) Batteries Mk IIMA @440 + MGs @60 = 1360 points

(6) T-13 carriers @300. [carries infantry squads above] [from Chicago 10th Mechanized Militia] = 300 points
This should be a bloody battle with both sides taking lots of hits. Probably a club style multi-player type of game due to the number of figures. Note that the USA player could have up to (2) Ambushes in their Light Woods - use militia for these due to their better morale (+1 instate), maybe the Cavalry unit and even the AT guns without their trucks(per the optional Ambush rules for artillery). If you do use the mounted cavalry unit, post the dismounted in the left over trucks. Martian players should divide up in a logical fashion; USA can use command lines for the players. Overall player commander could have the battalion and company hqs, whilst the player divvy up the rest of the platoons and armor. Alot depends on the number of players available. Martians need to move quickly into range with their various 'artillery' units and shield the advance with the ample drone/lobo squads. Always be cautious about the woods as humans are known to ambush - probe with lobototons as your most expendable troops per cost.
Enjoy!
