Coming out of the fog of a winters night, the horrors of the Morlock attack a German dug-in company.
Time: Jan 1917. Location: Marshy area, anywhere Germany. Turns: Six plus rolled. Weather: Cold (no game effect). Table 4 x 6' long edge running North to South. Night fight. Flares are in use with all German units, but have no effect on the Morlock Morale bonus. Terrain: GER; Hasty trench (one-sided) line running East to West 12" from South table edge; none for Morlocks. Setup: Morlock enter North edge Turn 1 with initiative. German units set up along or behind trench line.
Morlock - all Grunts, Infiltrators are at +2 Morale rolls due to night fighting.

German - all infantry squads have grenades for standard (+2 Power) assaults.
HQ Squad: 2 elements @30 + FC @30 = 60 points
1st & 2nd Assault Squads ec: 2 flamethrower teams, 2 LMG teams 4 elements @50 ec = 100 points
1st Platoon: (3) Infantry Squads with (1) MG ec @45 ec = 135 points
1st Mortar Squad: (2) MMTR w/ 6 crew @60 = 60 points
Artillery Mortar Squad: (2) Arty. Mortars w/10 crew @200 = 200 points [dug in]
1st FA Battery: (3) 77 mm guns w/9 crew + (3) limber & cassions @30 = 110 points
2nd Platoon: (3) Infantry Squads with (1) MG ec @45 ec = 135 points
2nd FA Battery: (3) 77 mm guns w/9 crew @80 = 80 points [dug in]
3rd Assault Squad: 2 flamethrower teams, 2 LMG teams 4 elements @50 = 50 points
(1) A7V tank @60 = 60 points
Total 990 points @50% = 495 BP with 4 Order Tokens.
Objective: Breaking opponent wins. Additionally, every point of Morlock off South edge subtracts from German points. Example, Infiltrators subtract 55 points from German total points, reducing their break point (990 - 55 = 945 @50% = 473 BP).
This will be a very tight battle as the German artillery tries to break the onrushing Morlocks. The Morlock player must be careful in any use of the Nerve Gas the mortars fire, as it can effect their people as well. Might be best to stick to explosives except for special targets (can you say tank?). The assault squads can be effective against all but the screwtank, and even there can be a help. Germans have a trench and enough artillery/mortar units to make things dicey for the Morlocks and their low numbers. Enjoy!
