This is a repost of my 26 May 1915 scenario for those interested in some of the Morlock scnearios I was developing before AD left us.
Somewhere east of the Sierra Front, Pod 44s detectors roar to life as the Redoubt is under attack!
The Martian player sets up as per Scenario 10 in the rulebook. Morlock player sets up his initial forces as per the scenario as well. Reserves do not enter until Turn 3, at which point they and a Tunnel Enterance are placed as per Reserve Rule (e.i. anywhere up to the mid-line). There is a Tunnel Enterance off the Morlocks board edge as well. Note that I do use Molemen.
Special Rule: All Morlock forces roll on the Bog table with a +5. They can bog down, but their Infantry types can not get stuck! Night Rules in affect.
Time: Winter 1917. Location: Any where east of the Sierra Front. Turns: Six + roll. Table: per scenario. Terrain: per scenario. Objective: per scenario.
Morlock Forces on table: (tunnel enterance as fc off morlock table edge).
(3) Grunts @45 ec = 135 points
(2) Gars @60 ec = 120 pts
(2) Magnamen @70 ec = 140 points
(1) Torrid Skimmers units @35 with (4) elements of Grunts @45ec = 70 points
(1) Torrid Skimmers @35 with (3 elements) Magnetic Cannons @80 + 1 element of Teks @15 = 145 points
[Torrid Skimmers are not effected by Bog rule or Redoubt]
Total onboard Morlocks 610 points @60% (night) = 366 BP with 3 Order Tokens.
Reserves:
Tunnel Enterance @80 [command] = 80 points
Time Weaver @200 = 200 points
Magnapult @160 = 160 points
Screwtank with Grind Guns @250 + Gars @60 = 310 points
Torrid Skimmer @35 with Gars @60 and Heavy Sweepers @20 = 160 points
Total Morlock Forces 610 = 910 = 1520/20 units = BP 10 (old style) NEW: 1520 points @60% (night) = 912 BP with 7 Order Tokens.
Martian Forces Static Defenses :
(2) Heat Ray Fence @10 ec = 20; (6) Detectors @25 ec = 150; (3) Sentinals @25 ec = 75; = 245 points
Assault Tripod @200 + FC @30; (2) Assault Tripods @400 = 630 points
(1) Scout Tripod with Targeter @155; (1) Scout Tripod @150 = 305 points
(1) Grenadier Tripod @100; (1) Slaver Tripod @100; (1) Shock Drone Squad @60; (1) Sniper Drone Squad @75 [attached to Scout w/targeter]
(2) Loboton Squads @40 [1 blaster, 1 slicer]
Total Martian Forces 1525/8 units = BP 4 (old style) NEW: 1525 points @50% = 763 BP with 7 Order Tokens.
This will be a fantastic battle, as the Morlock units seem to be well suited to taking on a Redoubt. Their skimmers and infantry have no trouble with the bog down rules as its all natural terrain to them! Well placed Martian heat ray fences and Sentinal towers will help channel some of this horde and as usual the tripods and drones will give a good accounting. Even the lowly lobos have a place in this fight. And for a change, you don't have to feel sorry for the human species. Enjoy!
