I see Ironclad has released their Texas Longhorns, the Tea Tossers and Texas Tanks. Where can I find stats and details for these, if they are available?
Thanks,
Craig

They were never officially published. As such, I took my hand at them and most everyone seems satisfied with the results. See my thread for a full workup of the Texas army and a couple of OOBs with them in action, particularly fighting around the Peco pass. See Texas Rules thread for the basics See TO&E Texas Recon Company & TO&E Texas Armored Militia for further development of the Texas forces See OOB Pecos Papers & OOB Speartip, Amarillo & The Eyes of Texas Are Upon You for battles using Texas forces and situations.

I don't think they ever did the Texans pdf at all. Sad. Enjoy my work on these

Maybe we can fancy them up, do some playtesting, and get them released as an official pdf. Mantic uses rules committees, no reason AQ can't have one.

I've already given (I think) permission to IG to use any and all of my material with only a nod to my name required. I'd be honored if any of these ravings made their printed materials. This does bring up a question though - I wonder if IG plans any kind of digital sale of the rule book(s)? It would seem a natural fit to have a subscription version available and dang great for updates/corrections/errata. Just a thought.

Morgan's stuff is better than AD's stuff. They were getting a bit too GW for my taste.
Of all the weapons of all the wars or all human history, very few were a danger to their user. The Tea Tosser looked nice, but it was getting a bit to "orky" for my taste.

Yeah it is a departure from the usual WW1 theme isn't it. But, again, desperate times and history is repent with 'old' weapons being made anew for 'modern' use. Vulcan mg comes to mind and I could see adapting something that uses materials easily found locally for a weapon such as the Tea Tosser. Hmmm, a Scorpion mounted link the Tea Tosser firing rockets that ignite as they clear the 'bow'. Large crossbow firing a larger rocket, again igniting as it clears the bow. Sorry, tangent time...

I can see human resistance forces using what they can scrounge. It is also true that ammunition is usually a limit on a weapon's utility.
On the other hand, I think there are enough hybrids for the time being. How about some French or German equipment?

French and German always made me think there was something really dramatically different going on with them that would be the second book. That would dig very heavily into fluff that would include the Venusians... and we don't even know if they are fighting or are allies. Feels like a no go zone to me because what we make could be so dramatically different than what is finally officially produced. We've still got the other British colonies... I think we could focus on those.

Another possibility would be the Sultan of Turkey restoring the Immortals. Turkey at the time of AQMF is the Ottoman Empire and the focus of Islam, creating an expeditionary force to protect Northern Africa from the Martians. This organization buys British, French and German equipment, allowing for the incorporation of a few of the major pieces of France and Germany while waiting for the armies to be fully fleshed out. Another option is the Vatican Guard, which is the Pope's personal military force. This is another opportunity to have a "fruit salad" of European equipment, without having to fully flesh out a new faction. Either project is available as an independent force. Sub-units of either force can be adopted for fiction or scenarios without worrying the fictional canon.
In many important ways, there are two Human factions and only one Alien faction. This suggests a fourth faction should be an Alien. To make it more alien, it would probably create hoards of small elements rather than the Martians using comparatively few strong elements.

Not to be too self promoting, but I did both the three major religious formations as well as German and French forces in my TO&E and OOBs. There's even some work on von Luttows campaign in East Africa. I've done some OOBs for both French Expeditionary Forces (for New Orleans and Canadian (embassy protection) and German colonial areas. Finally, there is the Venusian TO&E and a three way OOB for a battle between them and the Martian with US force pulled in while observing. Fun, Fun. The religious forces are Muslin, Protestant, and Vatican organizations. I used Khurshan's excellent models for the Venusians. For a price, you can even get one of their potent landing ships. In some way the Venus forces are much more elegant than those of Mars and show a lot of superior tech that will give the Germans and French fits - all landings are in marsh lands vs deserts like the Martians. Any way - have a look, you might find something there.
