Interesting. I realize the Minerva was a much smaller IRL car than the Royals Royce based Spectre and the Defiant is definately a "larger" vehicle design. But, its distrubing that the pictured models wheels are much smaller. I own several of the Minervas and they look fine against the other Blue Moon figures as well as AD vehicles - but, I never really put them next to the British ACs (as they were usually with French or militia units build from Eureka/Blue Moon figures). How recent is that model you used for the shot?? Reason I ask is my continuing concern of OG going to a 'true' 15mm scale for all their lines. As for the price, I use the "Old Glory Army" discount, which makes them affordable in numbers I wouldn't dream of without. At the 40% discount that program gives, those Minerva would be at 60% or GBP 4.50 each. I'll be getting my Minervas out to do further comparisions.

I'd thought of buying the Rebel Minis Nemo figures but they appear to be the same size relative to AD models as the Titan Marines I received this week, which are too small to use next to AD infantry. I'd suggest the Nemo troopers would look acceptable if used exclusively. If you are mixing them with AD, then they are a bit too small for my tastes.

I found them at my local shop, and they don't seem to move stock too rapidly. It seems that the older Battelfront minis were larger and the newer stuff, at least for infantry.

Does the army discount reduce shipping cost? The incredibly high shipping charge was a shocker and will prevent me from ordering again unless I can find a Blue Moon dealer in Canada.

No its strictly the models - but, I do suggest you ask them to provider a location in Canada - the price for shipping anywhere away from locals is shocking indeed!! I didn't realize the problem as I'm in the USA. Blah - its silly you can't get a 'free freight' shipment to Canada from continental USA. I just went over the FAQ tab on their site. GAds!! They do have an English contact thats to help with shipping, but nothing mentioned for Canada. Thats a crazy rate to ship with. I suspect you probably won't be doing much Old Glory - might I suggest you contact some of your local game retailers that might carry the line?? They might even have a Canadian distributor that an arrangement could be worked out with. What a mess - I am sorry this is the case loyalist. Yes, I use my Nemos Nightmare unit in a 15mm Human side only setup. Additional troops from Peter Pig, FoW, etc. fill out the line units if the battle is larger than the typical Nemo raid.

$60 is a crazy shipping price for a few dozen OG figures considering that 18 months ago I shipped a 6' long radio controlled model of HMS Hood I'd built to the US for $50 via Fed Ex.

Egads, I am so sorry about the shipping. I agree - perhaps you could arrange with them to ship via Fed Ex instead (for the better prices??). Are the figures at least as you hoped?

I'll find out when they arrive. From photos of some of the same figs. in the re-posted heavy field gun thread they'll fit in fine with the AD figs.

The Minerva was a civilian based vehicle converted for war; small, usually 3 to 4 crew at most. Its to scale for what it represents. Hopefully, Blue Moons new line of figures for WW1, which include a Lancaster & Royals Royce armored cars, will be closer in size to the AD versions.

hmmm, the Ragers look smaller than the Lobototons next to them. I suppose the viral agent causes some fat shrinkage and skin failure.
