I'm working on a Mobile Strike Regiment too. I have 12 BEF infantry units but modified the organization so the third infantry unit in each Cardigan platoon is replaced by a Vickers HMG unit. That gives the regiment 8 infantry units instead of 12 and each has an attached HMG unit. (4 spare infantry units and 2 Vickers HMG units will be used as a Royal Marine landing force from a monitor.)
I removed the infantry company HQ's Vickers HMG unit, and flivver and Cardigan, which were probably there to carry it. Under the rules a Cardigan could carry only 2 infantry/HMG stands so the flivver must have been included for the third HMG stand. I've assumed that 3 HMG stands would fit in 1 Cardigan, as discussed on this forum.
I'm short of Lloyd Carriers and tanks so have only 1 Lloyd in the Regimental HQ, no reserve tank platoon (unless I use Tommy tanks), and replaced the HQ's Imperial tank platoon with Kitcheners. I don't know why the tank company HQ has flivvers; I might replace them with munitions carriers.

I've done something similar. Rather than having complete company's I'm aiming to have one of each squadron.
For my Mobile Strike Regiment I have added a 4th (Assault) Platoon to the Infantry Company. I've also added an HMG Company of 3 x 3 MG 'battery's'.
My tank regiment HQ is led by a Wolsely and I've added a 'special' company of unusual tanks such as a Wicket or Mine Layer.

I'm thinking of adding an Assault infantry platoon too. Once I've received the Rebel Minis 'Titan Marines' to use as Assault infantry they use the vehicles from the Recon unit as an optional 4th platoon.
I like your idea of an HMG company.

The HMG company just seemed to make sense.
IRL HMG's took on more and more importance as the war went on. The Germans seemed to catch on to the importance of greater numbers of them much faster than the allies.
Given their use in mowing down Drones and finishing off badly damaged Pods it fits they'd be deployed in greater numbers in the AQ world too.

That's why I have 4 times as many HMG units in my Mobile Strike Force than in the book. Same with my Canadian force organization: 1 HMG unit for every 2 infantry units.

Probably the flivers are a radio truck and an element of recon infantry??

Probably the flivers are a radio truck and an element of recon infantry?? I doubt it. The Mobile Strike Regiment has a Recon platoon and the vehicles all have radios. Another consideration is that flivvers wouldn't be able to keep up with the tanks cross-country.
Having a tender tank with the Tank Co. HQ as per the US force organization makes more sense than flivvers, but it would be a fuel tanker instead of carrying H2O and coal. It could be modeled with a True North WWII Italian caterpillar gun tractor (made to look older with a spare Mk II tank smokestack) towing a fuel trailer.
I've got several spare Ironclad Miniature Faraday electric gun carriages for conversion to trailers. I think I'll make a fuel tank from 1/2" styrene tube, add it to a gun carriage and see how it looks. The metal fuel tank casting from a Woodland Scenics 1914 Diamond T fuel tanker might fit.
