Woodland scenics has great trucks that are perfect match to the AQ vehicles Tow trucks Wtertruck and open top I use the open top and a warer truck as alternates to the tanks provided I use the tow truck in a worksop base as a recovery camp I like these farbetter than the AQ trucks These have spoke wheels that look time period correct As a side note on wheels, i think Ernie should have had spike wheels on the artillery pieces They look way too modern for the period

Welcome to the forum. I agree they are nice. I prefer the Old Glory for the cost on units. The WS wreaker is fine, as it needs to be overscale to look like it can haul a tank! The rest are too big for me - 1/87 or 1/72 vs AQs about 1/92.

I've built the Woodland Scenics 1914 Diamond T tow truck and Grain tuck as a Field Engineering Unit. Though 1/87 scale they are a very good match to the AD Flivvers in size, so much so that a canvas cover from the Flivver can be put on the Purina Grain truck if the height is reduced by the height of the grain truck's sideboards. The design of the AD and WS kits is so similar I wonder if the WS design was duplicated.

It's only a bit over 2" long. It might be small compared to All Quiet minis.
I do like the look of the Woodland Scenics vehicles. May pick up a few.

Maintain perspective: plus or minus 10% or so on scale (size) is no real problem for gaming models. Availability, affordability and durability may trump rigid adherence to scale.

I agree, but if I'm going to mix them with my existing models I'd like them to at least be close.

Good info on the size loyalist & scott - I like the idea of the field workshop unit being made up of the wrecker and two of the other trucks. Thanks normandy!

Peter Fitz has a really nice collection of 15mm tanks & armored cars! Love all the variety and those Vickers could be used as futuristic AQ tanks - love the slapped together Beaverette! Any way, they are expensive compared to OG lines, but all those variety make them very feasible - especially the Russian tanks/armor cars (one element units).

Here are some of the trucks in my collection. I have actually held off on building my AQMF Flivvers as I think they are a bit oversized compared to my predominately 15mm collection. The rough riders on the left, the AQMF Flivver on the right and the BEF Armoured Car in the back are for size comparisons.

I know I'm a little off, but my choice is Paper Tiger's DUKW scaled down to 15mm.
The DUKW, aka the Duck: As a truck it was a great boat; as a boat is was a great truck. In the wilds of the US Midwest and West, it is a good all-terrain vehicle able to go where roads don't
The Technology is not that advanced for the era, although I'd be interested in dissenting opinions.

Just goes to show how much better AQ would have been in 15mm vs the 18mm they used. I like Old Glory, don't mistake my intent here. But, if AQ had been done originally in the more common 15mm scale, there would of been a whole world of figures available for gaming the humans. The AD could of focused on getting all the Martians done proper & promptly, as well as the limited number of unusal Human types (read Goliath for example). I'm not 'stuck' on scales so much as not having models that clash with the eye on the table. Thank you for the comparsion photo hardlec, it gives us all a good look at the different in scale between our AD and other figures.

I like these and will be adding a tanker. I use a Diamond T 1914 tow truck and 1914 grain truck (the two bigger trucks in the photo) for the Field Engineering Unit. Will be ordering a tanker to use the tank for a water limber and the rest of the truck for a radio vehicle conversion.
