Hi, a similar problem occurred to me: my Royal Scientist was missing a lot of parts, and my fuel tank was missing the carriage I'm currently making those parts from scratch to be cast in resin.

Ok, casting or copy in resin would be plan B. No problem for me.

I've just looked at my two grenadiers, I've bought from the same UK shop you've bought yours, and both are missing the launcher Fortunately I have got another grenadier with all its parts: time to order some resin As a consolation, I've just bought on eBay a Veteran tripod, let's hope it's complete...

I will get another Grenadier in some days. If he is complete, I'll build a silicon mould. I have resin at home. I wait for my ebay Veteran too!

I've seen a few mentions elsewhere on the internet and here of Grenadiers coming with different legs but I think they are supposed to. I've received 2 of 3 bought and they both had two legs like the ones in the rule book photos (I can't see the rear leg in any photos) and a single much sturdier leg of competely different appearance to the other two or to a Slaver's legs.
I suspect the heavier rear leg is supposed to be for bracing when firing.

Joker, I suspect you weren't the only person to get a Scientist without legs. In the Battle Reports section on page 2 check out Along the Platte River. There are several photos of a Royal Scientist that clearly has plastic Assault Tripod legs. That's why I posted a question a few weeks ago about whether it came with plastic or metal legs.
I plan to do a Royal Tripod conversion using plastic legs and a Slaver head. I think the metal legs are wonky looking, like the Harvester's. Makes them look like they're staggering about.

Its a shame that these now rare models are incomplete apparently from the providers. I look forward to seeing what you folks come up with for fixes.

I opened my new Scientist blister and all legs are missing... Great! Mine was the same. I am also missing the ray gun from the Royal Scientist. Well between the two I shall have to make up some moulds so I can cast the missing parts!

The funky Royal Scientist is mine! I built it from three different kits: Scientist, Reaper, and generic tripod legs. The original royal scientist was only sold retail and not online so I cobbled together one of my own. The original royal scientist looks like it has the same legs of the Harvester tripod.

I'm going to make a resin copy of the Slaver head (which is identical to the Reaper's, but different in several ways from the Scientist/Royal Scientist resin head), and use it with the plastic legs to make a Royal Scientist. Don't know what I'll do for reaper claws unless I scratchbuild them. I won't bother to modify the Slaver head details to match the Scientist exactly bu will make the 4 weird looking protruberances and the heat sword from styrene.

If you have either of the Rebel Miniatures figures (rmmw1 Martian Walker) or (rmmw2 Mini-Martian Walker) they both have very nice 'reaper' claws that could be molded from - just do additional castings of the tentacle parts to make them as long as needed. Or keep short with the 'it can extend' explanation.

I'm going to contact Rebel to see if they'll sell the 'reaper claws' separately. The ones on the large tripod should be fine. Failing that I'll by the large model and convert it to something else - maybe a construction engine.

Great solution - those models work for all kinds of ideas - including the Construction Engine
