Fantastic. I love the gas launcher! I still can't get my head round colour and Martians it just doesn't fit with my ideas (h g wells) for their pragmatism. But colour is something that is needed for visual impact. Maybe the new novel will help me get in the mood. Are the comics worth reading? It is not meant as a slight, your toys look great!

I have seen a few pictures of coloured tripods. Some look great other not so. I kept mine silver as I didn't think I would be able to pull off a colour. When I get round to doing the Royal Scientist I think I will do him gold .

Like the silver color for 'original' tripods. Want to use a 'antique gold' look for Veteran and other 'earth made' tripods. Am sooo jealous of the Hovers btw.

Got my dominator today fast shipping to the UK I have queried the fact that the heat ray arms are both the same from the plastic sprue. It seems to make more sense to have one left handed one in resin which curves the other way

Got a super fast response from Joe. The kit with the arms is how AD made them so you have to modify and arm. Should be too hard and I will post pics when I do it. All I can say is Ironclad Games provide a much better service than AD

Here you can see the two heat ray arms First I cut off the Heat Ray from one arm Then I test fit the arms on the head. Stuck with blue tack Then a put a pin in the heat ray Then glue it to the arm. Seems to work ok and should be some wiggle room when attaching the arms to the head

Nice job! Small changes can make a big difference in appearance.
Love the gas lobber idea. I think that I would have put the magazine atop the gun, parallel to the barrel. Not as fragile.
But nobody knows what the Martians might do!!

Wonderful stuff Q. I agree with boxholder on the magazine atop the gun, would make more sense as a gravity assisted feed. Love your look. I think that metallic ink overcoat might give you a good looking color metal tripods/drones. Thoughts are on a Blue Pod, Green Pod, a Red Pod (guess who is in this one), and of coarse a Purple Pod (with Royal Scientist & Viral drones of coarse!). You could get all strange with two tone examples lie body one color and legs another, but, I can't think of a valid reason for the Martians doing that. Tricolor would be right out! Anyway, your work is again outstanding with the pinning reverse! Ty for inspiring us all.

All good stuff. Above, below, side mounted, or back mounted - the dang thing is hard on human troops.

At the moment still trying to de shine the dominator head so it can be painted as its very glossy. So far its had three scrubs in hot water and soap, a scrub with dettol, dishwasher cycle and its still shiney! I have put it in a bath of dettol for 48 hours to see if that works.

Gads what kind of resin did they use??!? Dawn liquid dish washing soap is my usual 'cleaner' for models as it really gets any oils off anything (heck they clean oil coated water fowl with it!). Any way, at what point do you start to erode the resin? I mean it shows silly - maybe just try an undercoat and hope for the best.
