Usually, when the scale is being discussed, "2mm" refers to the size of a human. It may necessary to "fudge" the size a bit. Full size AQMF is normally cited as 15mm or 1/100 scale. Games Worshop EPIC was called out as 4mm. Larger minis are often cited as 28mm.

Well that makes it clear as mud for me! LOL I have no idea what games workshop epic looks like. But I guess it does not matter to me, but thank you very much for answering the question. I really thought someone was trying to play this game into millimeters scale! LOL

GW's EPIC 40K was a line of minis that they put out. The Epic minis were beutiful little injection moulded bits. They were quick to paint because of small size. Spray a base color, dry brush a second color and then some bits of other color and detail.
One of the true believers in AQMF put together a briefcase size battle set using EPIC items. He used transistors for the tripods,
CORRECTION: the minis were 6mm tall for a 6 foot human.

Those of us who have been into miniatures for a while tend to forget how confusing the nomenclature can be.
However, a quick data point is useful. 25mm equals about 1 inch which is 6 feet in 1/72 scale.
