I used to go to at least 3 conventions a year, before my current health prevents even one now. During that time, I often had use of an easy trick to ensure the proper scale of figures that were available. All you need is to Not Spend a penny, a nickel, and a quarter. USA coins of coarse. Penny = 18mm [standard AQMF scale for all figures] Nickel = 20mm [numerous items like trenches, etc., used for AQMF] Quarter = 25mm [larger scale that can do in a pinch for some buildings and assorted items (city walls, etc.)
As you can see, this will save you lots of time and frustration as you move about the vendors. Forgot you 6" ruler, not sure if that trench is really 20mm wide, etc.? Now you can quickly measure up that purchase! Good hunting.
