I broke down and bought the e-book while my friend ordered the paperback.
I like the Martian names with vowels.
I will probably read it twice, because the characters have so much depth and complexity.
I also hear the voice of Chuck Norris when Funston speaks.
Good prey hmmmm? A Saberhagen homage? (I love it.)
Enough about me. If you haven't gotten the book yet, stop torturing yourself and get it.

My god Scott, how many books do you have out? Was just surfing through all of those on Amazon, I assume not all are for the Martian Front? Wowza! Between you and Jon Jones, what is the correct order of books? You and he wrote one together, I saw in your first post the order is: "Invasion, Breakthrough, Counterattack, and Salient." Where do "Europe Ablaze" and "America in Flames" fall in the order? I like the feel of a book in my hands, all in "hardbook" (paperback) form too, right? Apologies if you already answered all of these!

Hi Enakan! Yeah, I've got a few out there and they are not all Great Martian War I was writing SF&F novels for quite a while before I started the GMW series. The order is Invasion, Breakthrough, Counterattack, and Salient. Europe Ablaze is the placeholder name for the start of the second trilogy which I am writing now. America in Flames is an omnibus volume with Invasion, Breakthrough, and Counterattack all under one cover. There is a small amount of new material in that one and it is the only way the paperbacks are being printed anymore. If you want the individual volumes you have to either go e-books or find a used one. Scott

Thanks Scott! Looking forwards to getting some new reading material! The "fluff" in the rules book is decent, but I always need MORE!!!

Okay, so I'm getting frustrated about my non-receipt of the Salient - will be reordering and pestering Amazon today!

Sorry about that, Morgan. I know it's out there. My publisher had some at the Cold Wars convention this past weekend. (I haven't gotten my author copies yet, tho.)

Just finished the Texas Front book. Good read. Really enjoyed it and am looking forward to the next in the series. If I were to express a complaint it would be about the typeface used to print the book. It is really a couple of points too small for comfortable reading. I don’t know if you have any influence on that issue, but perhaps you can mention it to the publisher for the next book.
Thanks for the story and keep’em coming.

No, sadly, I have no influence on the typeface or the border indents or anything like that I wish I did, because I'm not too happy with it, either. But Winged Hussar Publishing is a small outfit and they have to economize wherever they can. I guess a book with small print is better than no book at all Glad you enjoyed Texas Front. We've started plans for the next book in that series. And I'm (still!) plugging away on the next book in the main series.
