Looking good. When I was doing my infantry division organization article I was toying with adding an engineer battalion to the division, but I didn't really have any rules for it so I let it pass. Maybe I should reconsider

Perhaps only allow placement of trenches, emplacements and traps only if there is a engineer unit on the table? Respectfully, Gunny

Gunny:
I would tend to think that the battle scenarios are too short to allow much in the way of fortification and emplacement construction. If they aren't there as part of the setup, they aren't going to be built.
The engineers should be able to lay a hasty minefield of traps/mines on the surface within the timeframe. This surface layout is not likely to surprise an attacker, but it acts as a barrier to deter moving through the area. Although, if willing to accept the risk that there are unseen mines as well, they can enter the mined area...
The engineers should also be able to wire up a building for a hasty demolition in just a turn or two...

To be clear, it is the placement that's allowed because they have been there, not construction during the game. In other words, if engineers aren't on the board no earlier construction was made, therefore no terrain enhancement is placed. I do agree that short term booby traps, etc. could be done during the game, that's cool.

I've always had a problem with construction equipment in combat. Yes, construction Engineers, Pioneers and Seabees would fight and were tough fighters. But they were better at their work.
Construction equipment would mean that the Martians broke through and the Engineers are responding to a raid with a hasty defence, or got surprised.
Half-built defences manned by tough, desperate defenders.
A convoy of civilians and engineers "circle the wagons" and get ready to give Marvin a headache
Of course, there's also the option of an assault on a Martian redoubt, where the combat engineers are on the offensive and trying to dig Marvin out of his hole.

Indeed. In Book 3, the assault on the holdfast is performed using what amounts to gigantic "Bangalore Torpedoes," a technique adapted from combat engineers' wire clearing device.

Here are the workshop vehicles to go with the recovery vehicles. They are Japanese trucks from Flames of War. I picked them because they don't look too modern.

Excellent work and a find - Q, will you be adding GZG to the vendors list for the future? Note the page says it is Not Secure.
Good work on the Jap trucks. The key to using any truck from non-WW1 lines is that said vehicle will only have 4 wheels, unlike the popular 6 wheels common to WW2.

You don't have to worry about that as its not asking for any card details etc as its not a shop. If it is a shopping site and it says not secure don't put any payment details in.
